The Oregon Trail: Boom Town is categorized as a town-management simulation. Unlike other installments in the franchise, the new game features a 3D render of the historic town of Independence, Missouri.
Aside from assuming the role of wagon leaders, players can also expect other town-building elements in the game. These included building, farming, growing, and harvesting. They also have the freedom to design their 19th-century town.
The Oregon Trail: Boom Town also comes in a multiplayer mode. According to Tilting Point, players can connect, compete, or collaborate with other players. Barely a week after its release, The Oregon Trail: Boom Town had been downloaded over 100,000 times on Google Play Store.
As of May 2, almost 5,500 players have weighed in on this game, leading to a gamer score of 9.0 on whatoplay.
