Heads up, Bluey fans! The BAFTA-winning TV show is getting a video game adaptation. And it's expected to come out this November.
British game publisher and developer Outright Games announced they will launch Bluey: The Videogame. The upcoming, family-friendly game will land on PC and consoles on November 17.
Outright Games partnered with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio, the producers of the show, to create Bluey: The Videogame. It will be a sandbox adventure game that allows players to explore Bluey’s world.
It’s a thrill for us to bring Bluey’s world to life with a level of interactivity that has never been seen before,
said Stephanie Malham, COO of Outright Games.
Malham also promised to give Bluey fans a game that is 'accessible and enjoyable for all ages across the globe.'
Bluey: The Videogame will be the first video-game adaptation of the popular children's show. Gamers can choose to play as the titular Blue Heeler dog herself or Bingo, Mum, or Dad in up to four-player co-op mode.
According to developers, the game will feature faithfully recreated and iconic locations from the show, such as Bluey’s home. Players will also have the option to engage in story-driven, episodic gameplay filled with activities.
In addition, Bluey: The Videogame will have a brand-new, four-part storyline created by Artax Games, BBC Studios, and Ludo Studio.
Meanwhile, Outright Games has dropped the game's video trailer, showing fans and interested players glimpses of its progress so far.
We know fans will be excited to explore Bluey’s world and join in with the Heeler family’s antics,
said Kevin Jorge, Head of Games at BBC Studios.
Bluey: The Videogame can be played on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Publishers have started accepting pre-orders.
