META Publishing and NEXT Studios have officially released an enhanced version of their critically acclaimed co-op adventure puzzle game, Biped, for PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro.
Optimized with 2K resolution, the game now offers an even more immersive visual experience for both newcomers and returning players.
To celebrate the launch, Biped will be available free of charge to PlayStation Plus subscribers shortly after its release.
Not only that, the journey continues with Biped 2, slated for a 2025 release across multiple platforms, including Windows PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
This highly anticipated sequel expands on its predecessor with new gameplay features and broader multiplayer options, such as four-player co-op for the first time. Players can look forward to exploring new biomes, meeting new characters, and tackling even more challenging puzzles.
Set against the backdrop of a galaxy in need, the story of Biped 2 picks up after the brave bipedal robots reactivated Earth’s beacons. Following a mysterious signal from a distant planet, the mechanical heroes are now on a mission to aid those in distress, proving that even the smallest robots can achieve great feats.
The sequel introduces expanded co-op gameplay, allowing players to control Aku and Sila, two lovable bipedal robots, in two- or four-player co-op adventures. New mechanics such as gliding gracefully with a hang glider, leaving intricate patterns, or tackling obstacles with a grappling hook bring fresh challenges to the gameplay.
Teamwork is emphasized with puzzles that require players to unite as one, taking on unique roles as ‘legs’ or ‘arms.’ Players will also explore alien landscapes, meet elemental characters, and uncover the secrets of unfamiliar worlds.
Biped is currently available on Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It currently stands at a ‘very positive’ rating on Steam from over 6,500 users. Fans praised its vibrant co-op experience and its short and sweet campaign.
Fans can add Biped 2 to their wishlists now as they anticipate its 2025 launch.
