<p>XSEED Games, in collaboration with Marvelous Europe and BattleBrew Productions, has announced a new trailer showcasing the new features coming to their roguelite restaurant simulation game.</p>  

<p>The console edition of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/cuisineer/">Cuisineer</a> is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on <strong>January 28, 2025</strong>.</p>

<p>The updated version includes a wardrobe system that allows players to customize their character’s outfits. Additionally, year-round festivals will also bring seasonal content and challenges to the game.</p>

More details about these features are set to be revealed during The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwh9cvY3miE">MIX Fall Online Showcase 2024</a>, airing on November 21 at 9:00 AM PT on Media Indie Exchange’s YouTube and Twitch channels. The showcase will feature commentary from the game’s Singaporean developer, BattleBrew Productions.</p>

<p>Blending roguelite dungeon crawling with restaurant management, Cuisineer challenges players to gather ingredients by battling giant chickens, fire-breathing peppers, and artillery shrimps. It is a chaotic culinary bonanza where the ingredients are then used to craft unique dishes, customize restaurant interiors, and cater to the culinary preferences of their loyal patrons.</p>

<p>Originally launched for PC via <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/1963570/Cuisineer?snr=1_7_15__13">Steam</a> in November 2023, Cuisineer has been praised for its engaging gameplay and charming aesthetic.  It received a ‘Mostly Positive’ rating on Steam from over 1,400 users. It also received a playscore of 7.7 on whatoplay.</p> 

<p>The upcoming console release promises to expand on its original appeal, delivering a fresh experience for both newcomers and returning players.</p>

<p>Digital pre-orders for Cuisineer are now open on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S for $29.99. A physical Day One edition will be available at launch for $49.99. This special edition includes the game, a soundtrack featuring 37 tracks, a 160-page art book, and a kitchen towel featuring the playful slogan “boba saves lives.” </p>

<p>The physical version will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S through participating retailers and the Marvelous USA Online Store.</p>

<p>The Horror at Highrook is a game best described as a cosmic horror RPG inspired by board games, escape rooms and campfire ghost stories.</p> 

<p>It puts players in charge of a team of investigators exploring a haunted manor in an effort to unravel the mystery of a missing family. Players must craft solutions, summon occult nightmares, and uncover the manor’s secrets through lore-rich gameplay.</p> 

<p>The game features a distinct art style reminiscent of Mike Mignola’s ‘Hellboy’ comics. It even borrows familiar Lovecraftian trappings from Red Barrel Studios’ <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Darkest%20Dungeon">Darkest Dungeon series</a>. It is a bleak and haunting card-game RPG where anything could happen. Players highly interested in the Gothic-horror genre can find a lot of interesting things to learn and do here.</p> 

<p>Tom Betts, owner of Nullpointer Games, is no stranger to the indie scene. He has over a decade of experience and titles such as Into the Pit (2021) under his belt, Betts shared his excitement about partnering with OuterSloth, stating that, “...seeing OuterSloth reinvest in the industry is incredibly reassuring.” Grateful for the Among Us company, he further said that, “This partnership gives us hope for a brighter future in a turbulent industry.…”</p>

<p>Crafting armor and weapons stays true to the original’s grindy concept, but there will be limitations. Stamina will be Outlander’s important resource. There is still no road map shown yet as TiMi Studio is still hard at work polishing the game before its imminent Beta.</p>

Capcom and TiMi Studio Unveil Monster Hunter: Outlanders, an Open-World Mobile Adventure

<p>Sabotage Studio, the developer and publisher behind the acclaimed indie RPG <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/sea-of-stars/">Sea of Stars</a>, released a massive update titled <strong>Dawn of Equinox</strong>.</p> 

<p>Available today, this free update brings a slew of new features, mechanics, and enhancements that Sabotage Studio describes as the ultimate realization of its vision for the <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/turn-based-rpg/">turn-based RPG</a>.</p>

<p>The Dawn of Equinox update introduces a range of quality of life improvements and new features, beginning with a <a href="https://whatoplay.com/ps5/best/local-coop/">local co-op</a> mode that allows up to three players to experience the game’s story together. Co-op works the same as the original, but other players will have to adjust to the modified Timed Hits mechanic. </p>

<p>One significant change in the update is a significant rework with the game’s combat system.</p> 

<p>The addition of ‘Mystery Locks’ encourages players to break enemy spells by experimenting with different attack types. This adds a layer of depth to every encounter as players retain Combo Points. Additionally, with the new ‘Reveal’ function, this enhances each character’s special abilities, further adding a dynamic turn-based experience.</p> 

<p>New or old players can also enjoy a revamped prologue, now allowing players to experience the protagonists’ childhood directly instead of through flashbacks. This is in conjunction with Dawn of Equinox’s newly added cutscene titled ‘Paths on Water’, which highlights a key moment in the story.</p>

<p>These brand new narrative beats are completely new and not present in the original.</p>

<p>Funbox Media announced the upcoming physical release of <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/super-woden-gp/">Super Woden GP Podium Edition</a>, arriving on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on <strong>November 29, 2024</strong>. The arcade racer will feature the original Super Woden GP and its sequel, Super Woden GP2, as well as its selection of digital soundtracks. </p>

<p>The Podium Edition will serve as the game’s definitive version, preserved by this latest physical release. Check out the game’s trailer here: </p>

<p>Inspired by racing games of the 1990s such as Need For Speed and Gran Turismo, Super Woden GP combines vintage aesthetics with an isometric style perspective.</p> 

<p>The game immerses players in a career where they progress from modest beginnings to championship competitions. Starting with a budget car, players work through a range of events, using race winnings to upgrade vehicles and advance in their careers. </p>

<p>Choose from over 250 cars from nine manufacturers worldwide and a globetrotting campaign packed from multiple game modes such as circuits, rally stages, and championships. </p>

<p>In <a href="https://whatoplay.com/switch/best/multiplayer/">multiplayer</a> mode, players can enjoy up to four-player split-screen competition like the good old days, either racing locally or vying for a spot on the leaderboards. Players can navigate through its vibrant tracks that each have its own unique challenges and dynamic environments.</p>

<p>Released in September 2021 on Steam, Super Woden GP received a ‘Very Positive’ rating from over 300 users. For its price of less than 10 dollars, fans were hoping to see this game get more attention as it caters to a bygone era of retro-arcade racing. </p>

<p>Super Woden GP Podium Edition costs £34.99/$39.99 for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions. It’s available on select retailers, locally and internationally. </p>

Arcade Racer Super Woden GP Podium Edition Set for Physical Release on Consoles

<p>Two years since its launch on PC, Fatshark has announced that <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-40000-darktide/">Warhammer 40,000: Darktide</a> will finally release on PlayStation 5 consoles on <strong>December 3, 2024</strong>.</p> 

<p>This much-awaited release will bring all enhancements and updates made since the initial PC version, putting its visual scale similar to Saber Interactive’s <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-40000-space-marine-2/">Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2</a>.</p>

<p>Darktide is also optimized for PlayStation 5 Pro at 60 FPS frame rate at 4K resolution. Also included in this console port are two gameplay modes available for players: a 60 FPS Performance mode at 1440p resolution and a 30 FPS Quality Mode at 4K resolution.</p>

<p>Players who opt for the Imperial Edition can access the game six days early, beginning November 27. The Standard Edition will be available through the PlayStation Store for $39.99/€39.99. PlayStation Plus subscribers will enjoy discounts of 10% on the Standard Edition and 15% on the Imperial Edition.</p>

<p>Warhammer 40,000: Darktide released on PC back in 2022 and on Xbox Game Pass a year later. It takes place in the grimdark <a href="https://whatoplay.com/discover/?search%5Bquery%5D=Warhammer%2040%2C000">universe of Warhammer 40,000 </a>by Games Workshop.</p> 

<p>Instead of assuming control of the powerful Space Marines, Darktide puts players into the shoes of the universe’s other classes, namely the Veteran, Psyker, Zealot and Ogryn. It immerses players in the brutal task of reclaiming Tertium, a city overrun by relentless Chaos hordes.</p> 

<p>Similar to Fatshark’s previous entry, <a href="https://whatoplay.com/games/warhammer-end-times-vermintide/">Vermintide</a>, it emphasizes cooperative gameplay in its sprawling PvE modes. Darktide demands teamwork, so players wandering from teammates leaves them vulnerable to powerful foes. Only by staying close can players recharge their strength and face the danger together.</p> 

<p>Combat builds upon the melee-focused mechanics of Vermintide 2, further enhancing 40K’s signature gunplay experience. Players must master between melee and ranged combat, wielding iconic weapons such as the chainsword and Lasgun to fend off enemies.</p> 

<p>The game received a playscore of 7.0 on PC from over sixty thousand players and 54 critics. Not a lot of fans were happy with its balancing and pacing. However, over the years Fatshark has improved the game with a variety of quality of life improvements and new gameplay changes. With the imminent PlayStation 5 release next month, Darktide will be at its most ideal version yet.</p>

<p>The trailer also reveals the inclusion of two fan-favorite characters: Nadia Cassel and Trevor Spacey. Nadia, known for her engineering prowess and use of electric mines, adds a powerful presence to the lineup, while Trevor, who previously served as comic relief, now brings his secret ninja and mind-control abilities to the fray.</p>

<p>Metal Slug Tactics takes a spin on the tactical genre, but it continues to pay homage to the beloved Metal Slug series, blending its explosive <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/rpg/">arcade</a> combat with the strategic depth of a grid-based tactical <a href="https://whatoplay.com/xbox-series-x/best/rpg/">RPG</a>.</p> 

<p>Players can expect over 20 unique mission types across 100 hand-drawn maps, all set against the franchise’s classic, pixel-strewn backdrop. Both new players and veterans will progress through missions that require both strategic positioning and well-timed combos.</p>

<p>The game currently stands at a ‘Mostly Positive’ rating on Steam from 250 users. On Whatoplay, it received a playscore of 7.2 and 7.5 for Xbox Series X|S and PC respectively. </p>

<p>Metal Slug Tactics is now available for €24.99 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Game Pass.</p>
