Atomfall, one of the highly anticipated survival-action titles, will launch soon.
Rebellion Development announced that they will release Atomfall this March 27, 2025. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. This adds it into one of the many highly anticipated titles scheduled for a 2025 release.
Game Pass subscribers can access the title on its release day, the Oxford-based indie studio added.
Rebellion has also dropped a new trailer for Atomfall. The video offered a first look at the game’s setting, including the mysterious Casterfell Woods. The trailer also highlighted the 'unsettling atmosphere.' Ultimately, teasing players looking forward to diving into a post-apocalyptic United Kingdom.
It featured visuals of a burning pyre, a wicker man, fallen bodies, and a ringing telephone box.


In the meantime, Rebellion began accepting pre-orders for Atomfall. They also confirmed that the game will come in both digital and physical formats. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition will unlock the Basic Supply Bundle DLC. This includes an exclusive melee weapon variant, more loot caches, and a crafting recipe.
The Deluxe Edition, available digitally, offers extra perks. Like the Enhanced Supply Bundle. This package features an exclusive pistol variant and a metal detector skin. It also contains character upgrades and three days of early access to the game.
Additionally, Deluxe Edition buyers will receive access to a planned Story Expansion DLC upon its release.
For collectors, they may want to buy Rebellion’s Quarantine Edition. They can buy it only on the game's online store. The Rebellion's Quarantine Edition combines all Deluxe Edition rewards -- plus exclusive content.
Atomfall is set in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster. In the game, players need to solve mysteries surrounding a Windscale nuclear power station. This meant navigating a sprawling quarantine zone and exploring military encampments. As well as abandoned bunkers, and Pagan ruins.
They also get to interact with eccentric and sometimes hostile characters. To survive in the wasteland, the game allows players to wield melee and ranged weapons. They can also craft items and scavenge supplies.
Atomfall draws inspiration from British science fiction and Cold War-era themes. According to developers, it 'blends folk horror elements with a unique survival-action experience.'
Editor’s Note: Early access for the Deluxe and Quarantine Editions begins up to three days before the official launch, subject to platform availability. The Story Expansion DLC will not be available at launch.
