It’s PONG like you’ve never thought it could be! Immerse yourself in a whole new world of PONG-inspired fun where you’ll adventure as a brave young paddle traversing a variety of treacherous dungeons, all loosely based on classic Atari hits, including Asteroids®, Centipede®, and more. Your journey will dictate the fate of PONG World as you reveal the mysteries of… the Spooky Door!

It’s actually a pretty unique spin on the classic game, and it’s interesting that the developers managed to find a way to incorporate other classic Atari titles to the revamp. As for additional features, players will be able to customize their different paddle avatars with the game, they’ll also be able to use 50 different types of balls that will have unique power-ups. What’s more, a multiplayer system is also in place that will allow players to engage other people online.

Atari COO Jean-Marcel Nicolai also had this to say about the game:

PONG as an RPG is something completely unexpected, but wonderful in execution… We are thrilled to bring PONG Quest to life to honor the classic IP and bring the beloved gameplay to a new generation of players and RPG fans. Atari has a rich portfolio of titles and exploring new ways to breathe new life into those franchises yields exciting results.

This looks like a good bit of fun, and I can’t wait to check out just how ‘modern’ Atari’s new take on PONG is going to feel like.

PONG Quest will run for $14.99 and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
