Summary
Welcome to the world of DayZ, hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. Some of the stories this game has created will stick with me forever, and that’s something to be celebrated. But it’s also unforgiving, messy, and doesn’t have much respect for your time. If you want a social survival experience that doesn’t pull any punches, set in an evocative and atmospheric world, then DayZ might be worth investigating. But if you’re after a solid, polished game that always does what it’s supposed to, you’re going to be disappointed.
So many games have taken the aspects pioneered all those years ago in the original mod and have improved upon them, and so despite the fact that DayZ has only just come of age, it has already been left behind by its offspring.
DayZ est une expérience singulière, quasi unique et finalement c'est un peu à la fois une de ses meilleures qualités, mais aussi un de ses défauts. On a l'impression d'être face à un jeu qui a voulu en faire trop, poussé par une équipe de développement au départ sûre d'elle, qui au fil du temps se rendra compte que DayZ est une utopie. Belle c'est vrai, mais qui n'arrive toujours pas à se montrer solide sur ses fondations.
