Here are the Minimum Specs Required to Play Death Stranding on PC

Though Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding (DS) may have come out as a PS4 exclusive, Kojima Productions is set to release the game to PC next month. With DS expected to be a massive game, we now have details on the specs required to play the game on PC.

According to PC Gamer, these are the minimum required specs to play the game:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel® Core i5-3470 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 560 4 GB DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible

There are actually 2 kinds of recommended specs for Death Stranding though, one for 30fps and the other for 60fps (both of these are at 1080p resolution):

Recommended 30fps:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB or Radeon RX 570 4 GB DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible

Recommended 60fps

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 590 · DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible

It’s going to be interesting to see just how the game is ported over to PC, counting that there are some gameplay elements that feel exclusive to the console. I mean, if you have to use your controller to balance the packages that you’re handling, how does that translate to a keyboard and mouse set-up?

Admittedly Death Stranding is not a game for everyone, but you can’t deny that creative force that is Hideo Kojima. Hopefully the next title from KojiPro will be received with unanimous approval.

Catch Death Stranding on PC when it comes out on July 14. You can find more games in our list of Upcoming PC Games.
