Great game, good replayability, good character development for companions.

Not enough space battles and act 4 is a bit sparse in quests but those are minor gripes with an otherwise great game.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

Warhammer games back then were either trash or mid.

Fortunately, Warhammer games have been pretty great so far.

From slaying Skavens in the Vermintide series and conquering other races and factions in Total War, I am more than happy to say that Rogue Trader is another fascinating addition to the growing collection of Warhammer games.

So, I'll be as brief but precise as possible when explaining the pros and cons of the game.

Let's begin with the PROS.

1. Excellent dialogue and voice acting.
2. Full customizable main character. Wanna be a Deathworlder who wields double chainsaws and acts pompous towards his/her inferiors? You can. You can also add in your very own portrait for your character. Sweet.
3. The Convictions. These act like a moral compass for your character. Wanna keep that mysterious glimmering shard you found inside a dead body? Looks like you increased your Heresy Conviction. And these change the story as you progress, allowing multiple replays.
4. Easy to learn gameplay that even novices to the top-down roleplaying strategy games could easily pick up.
5. Decisions you make truly matter. Not just on combat but on who and how you interact. Did you just open fire and destroyed that suspicious cargo ship that talked smack at you awhile ago? You might have just killed an NPC you can trade for great items.

Now for the CONS.

1. Its got some bad bugs. One time, I clicked a chest beside the door and accidentally clicked the door as well. What happened was one of my party members was outside of the instance (still trying to open the chest) and couldn't join in with the squad.
2. Wonky movement. Sometimes inputting a movement command wont work. You'll end up clicking twice and accidently move your character someplace else.
3. Character models up close look outdated. Reminds me of the character models you find in Allods online.

So yeah, that about it.

If you love everything Warhammer, I highly encourage you to play Rogue Trader.

Another good step towards better Warhammer games.
