Great features, unique skill tree. Interesting story and plot. A Metroidvania done well.

Sundered: Eldritch Edition

Beautiful art, animation (some of the best hand drawn animation I've seen in a game) & music. Extremely satisfying movement with a wonderful sense of momentum. Strong atmosphere with story scattered throughout the world. Would have appreciated a slightly more populated world, but still enjoyed what was there.

Loved the airborne combat and I enjoyed managing and fleeing from the hordes. Although there is nice enemy variety, no enemy effectively mixes up the combat. They weren't perfect, but the game's approach to boss fights was very unique and I'd love to see this expanded upon by the studio some day.

Some may not like the semi-randomised room layouts, but I found the mad exploration that in encouraged exciting - dashing from the overwhelming number of enemies while snatching glances at the map hoping that you've almost found your next door.

Overall a really great game. Some of it's design could be more polished, but it stands out from other mvanias with the risks it takes. V happy I played.

Confront hordes of terrifying enemies in an ever-changing world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Sundered is a challenging and unique take on a classic genre from the creators of Jotun, now with local co-op!
