I did enjoy playing this game, the battles were fun, collecting different pokemon is still as fun as ever and i liked the exploring and the fact that you can now see the pokemon before the battle starts but the gym battles were a bit to easy but still fun. I think the only things i didn't like was the story, it was borring compared to the previous titles, and the dynamax is not as cool as mega evolution. So while it was a good pokemon game it had its flaws that can be improved which i hope to see in future pokemon games.

Pokémon Sword

This was the only game that I liked enough to complete a shiny living dex.

This was the only game that I liked enough to complete a shiny living dex.

All in all, a pretty good game. For both long time fans and new ones alike, exploring this world is good fun. While the graphics are greatly improved, and a fair amount to the game is 3D, lots of the game refers to classic gameplay, such as the cooking of meals and the semi- birds eye view while inside some buildings.

I guess my only concern is the story itself. For fans of the older games, this games' story is a tad uninventive. While all the Pokémon games follow the same rough plot, this game seems to only send you from one gym to the next, with not much else to do apart from catch and train Pokémon. However, this is made up for by the vast world with many different environments, and the gameplay itself.

Despite this, definitely a game I would recommend for old and new fans alike.
