Knowing that the game was coming to current-gen consoles, I immediately paid the £7.99 price tag and began to play one of my favourite PSP games of all time.

Travelling across Gallowwere again felt great. Seeing Dan in action on the big screen was something I've always wanted to see. I've always preferred the gameplay of this game as opposed to the original MediEvil game for some reason. Maybe it's because I was introduced to this game first? Either way, I love all the games in the franchise.

This port received a day one patch, which helped to fix the terrible optimisation of the original PSP version. The game now runs silky smooth on both the PS4 and PS5 version, thankfully. However, there are moment's where the odd frame may drop at certain points.

Overall, I'm super happy with this port of the game. Cutscenes haven't been upscaled to today's standards of graphics, but I can look past that, as it's always been about the gameplay for me.

Overall Score: 08/10
