  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is a confusing product. It’s too complex and longwinded for kids, but too easy, repetitive, and derivative for most adults. The game was made with fans of the original Cyber Sleuth in mind, but will frustrate those same fans with its rampant rehashing. Hardcore Digimon devotees may find something to enjoy here, but most will want to forget Hacker's Memory.

  • I fell in love with Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory after just a couple of hours, and I've found it hard to put down since. It’s very easy to get sucked into the futuristic universe and connect with the characters — even the really weird ones. Despite the lack of focus on digimon themselves, fans of the animated series will surely get a kick out of the familiar humour and science fiction elements that are prevalent throughout the game. I highly recommend giving Hacker’s Memory a try if you’re a fan of the Digimon universe and enjoy a good visual novel with lots of role play elements.

  • It has a fantastic presentation with great character designs, and the game looks and runs very well on both the PlayStation 4 and Vita platforms. There are some real downsides to the experience, however. Being forced to grind AP points to reach the higher levels of the Digivolution scale can be monotonous. The story also takes a little too long to get going, though it gets exciting once it finally does. The gameplay is your standard Japanese RPG fare with a lean towards a Shin Megami Tensei design, but its wrappings help raise it well above the average lot.

  • That humorous core — buoyed by the Digivolution mechanic and memorable characters — is the game's best feature, and one that always comes as a surprise. The jokes make traversing that dungeon for the umpteenth time a little less taxing, and elevate the game from standard creature battler to a memorable adventure.

  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is a blast from the past that has both retained the nostalgia factor, and evolved for modern audiences - offering a roleplaying game that caters to clinging fans and those looking for a new experience alike. You'd be hard pressed to find a better game of this sort on Vita without invoking a certain Persona we'll save you the trouble of selling you on, so unless you're adverse to the genre or universe I'd wholeheartedly recommend you pick it up.

  • A fun mix of a variety of different game types and a must have for any fans of Digimon. Even if you're not too into it the story is fun and the mechanics are extremely well done.

  • The turn-based RPG mechanics are simple and addicting, while the Digivolution progression system is sure to keep players hooked as they attempt to capture every single available Digimon. The game looks fantastic and feels like it was designed specifically for the PS Vita. Capturing the essence of what Digimon is, Cyber Sleuth is the Digimon game fans have been waiting for.

For the 15th anniversary and the first Digimon game to be released in the west in over seven years, the fans deserved better than the localization effort put forth here. Still, despite these issues, the core gameplay remains strong and stands as a fun game to play- just not to read.

  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is a bit of a difficult game to critique. Nothing about the package is overwhelmingly negative, but it also doesn’t excel in any area. It really is a jack of all trades, but master of none. Anyone can have a good time in its digital world, though, and those with nostalgia will be glad that a good, but not great, Digimon game exists in 2016.

  • While the West may have been skipped over for much of the last decade with Digimon games, fans can rejoice over Bandai Namco's choice to localize Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, as they will find plenty of reasons to love this game with its nearly 250 different Digimon available.

i own this game on Vita, and then i bought it again on PS4 with discounted price, really enjoyed it on big screen, i know i should buy the complete edition on Switch, but it ain't feel right, for Switch is home for Pokemon, this is just my opinion really the best Digimon game i ever played, beside Digimon World 2 and Digimon World 3 on PSX
