WRATH: Aeon of Ruin 1.0 to Release this Feb. 27

The critically acclaimed retro-style FPS, WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, will be marking another milestone soon.

Publishers Fulqrum Publishing and 3D Realms confirmed that WRATH: Aeon of Ruin will leave Early Access this February 27. This means that the indie game will debut its full version after years of development.

"The core gameplay and features for the PC version of WRATH are now complete," they wrote on Steam.

With it, players can expect not only quality-of-life improvements but also new content.

Aside from a fully implemented campaign, WRATH: Aeon of Ruin 1.0 will contain additional items. These include new weapons and four more enemies. The game's full version will also come with new sigils and five new artifacts.

Developers will also introduce general improvements in enemy encounters, map layouts, and overall performance.

On the other hand, publishers revealed that the upcoming full version will not support a multi-player mode. They explained on Steam their decision to focus on enhancing the single-player experience instead.

"Thanks to the extra time and effort we’ve spent building this world and fleshing out its narrative, the new things we've been working on have manifested in truly intriguing ways that we believe will pleasantly surprise you," they said.

The full edition of WRATH: Aeon of Ruin will be available for PC via Epic Games and Steam. The game was initially reported to be released for consoles also. However, publishers have yet to disclose further information as of this writing.

In the meantime, players can already access its full build by sending a request to publishers.

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin is developed by KillPixel, led by Jeremiah Fox. The game is the first of its kind to be generated from the Quake-1 Technology.

First released in 2019, the game received positive praises from gamers and critics. It also received several accolades including Editor's Choice in the 2019 PAX event in Boston. / ###
