Fallout-Inspired RPG Space Wreck Gears Up for Full Launch

Space Wreck, the indie post-apocalyptic space RPG, will exit Early Access next month.

Developers from Pahris Entertainment announced they will launch Space Wreck 1.0 on October 10. The PC game first came out via Early Access in December 2022.

Space Wreck tells the story of a desolate space station 20 years after a major conflict over asteroid mining.

Pahris Entertainment, a two-man studio based in Latvia, also dropped a new story trailer for their game.

Running roughly for a minute and a half, the new trailer revealed the game's dark and gritty setting. It also showed playable characters scavenging the ship for a fuel chip.

Space Wreck is inspired by classic and beloved isometric RPGs, such as Fallout and Arcanum.

It features an old-school, tactical turn-based combat system with action points, dice rolls, and grid-based movement.

However, combat is not the only way to play the game. Players can also use their skills and abilities to talk, hack, sneak, or bribe their way through various situations.

They can even complete the game without killing anyone. In addition, the game allows them to go on a murderous rampage and kill everyone they meet, including essential characters.

The game also has a non-linear plot with multiple endings. This means that every choice and action influences the conclusion of the story.

Players will encounter different factions and characters, each with their own agendas and motivations. They will also have to decide who to trust and who to betray and face the consequences of their decisions.

Space Wreck is not a long game by design.

According to its developers, they wanted to create ‘an intentionally short, yet surprisingly extensive’ RPG that supports multiple gameplay styles and replayability. This is also why they decided to spend a year refining its mechanics during its Early Access period.
