Here is some exciting news for PlayStation owners.
Slime Rancher 2, the sequel to the popular life simulation game, will expand to other platforms. Creators from Monomi Park announced they will release Slime Rancher 2 for PlayStation 5.
The upcoming PS5 game will make its debut on June 11. It will contain all previous and future content updates released during the Early Access period. This includes new features like the unlockable Powderfall Bluffs territory and a dynamic weather system.
It will also include the recent "Gadgets My Way" update added in February.
Pre-orders for Slime Rancher 2 on PlayStation 5 have also begun. Players who pre-ordered the game can unlock its Early Access by June 7 - or four days before its general release. Additionally, pre-orders come with an exclusive in-game item. They are the adorable Glo Glo Penguino, a new Slime Toy that helps calm down agitated slimes.
In Slime Rancher 2, players once again take on the role of Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who sets out to explore the mysterious Rainbow Island. This colorful land is teeming with ancient technology and undiscovered resources. And of course, a whole new avalanche of adorable slimes to collect and raise.
Slime Rancher 2 contains elements of resource management, and creature collection. Players can generate over 100 different slime combinations. From the bouncy Cotton Slime to the mischievous Ringtail Slime. And each variety has its unique personality and plorts to collect.
The game first came via Early Access for PC and Xbox Series X|S in 2022. In its first week of launch, Slime Rancher 2 sold over 300,000 copies.
Monomi Park also introduced a new bundle called the Slime Rancher Rainbow Bundle. Players can get both Slime Rancher and Slime Rancher 2 at a discounted price.
