The Aavegotchi universe recently got bigger.
Developers from Pixelcraft Studios on Feb. 29 launched Licky's Escape for iOS devices.
Developers promised to deliver 'innovative mechanics and charming narrative' to Licky's World. In it, players guide Licky the Robot in solving puzzles and challenges with the help of magnets.
One of Licky's World's highlights is the use of magnetism as its core game mechanics. This innovative design promises a refreshing experience for mobile gamers, developers said.
Instead of swiping and tapping, common among mobile games, players will use magnets. They can also manipulate magnetic fields to guide Licky, and interact with objects.
The game contains over 120 puzzles, spread across five worlds. Each level in Licky's World was also hand-drawn by celebrated Aavegotchi artist Stellarhobbes.
Aside from the puzzles themselves, Licky's World also contains boss battles. Doing so would add another layer of excitement on the game.
Pixelcraft is the team behind Aavegotchi, a Tamagotchi-inspired game that integrates blockchain technology.
Licky's Escape is their first venture into iOS gaming. And like other titles in their portfolio, it also incorporates blockchain technologies.
Coderdan, CEO of Pixelcraft Studios, described Licky's Escape as an 'immersive puzzle experience.' He attributed this to fusing unique, magnet mechanics and a rich lore. As a result, it enabled the game to keep players challenged and entertain players, he added.
"Licky's Escape represents a leap forward for mobile puzzle games," said Coderdan.
Pixelcraft's newest game also allowed players to earn more Aavegotchi collectibles.
Developers confirmed they can collect Aavegotchi while playing Licky's Escape. These rare digital rewards serve as a testament to a player's skill and dedication. At the same time, they will also enrich their Aavegotchi experience, Pixelcraft said.
