The popular Early Access arcade shooter is finally getting a full release. And, it's coming to consoles too!
Developer Three Flip Studios has announced that they are releasing v1 of Armed And Gelatinous: Couch Edition on PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series X/S, Switch next month. The developers have scheduled the rollout for May 2, 2024.
“We’re beyond stoked to be releasing our game on consoles after many years spent in development and over a hundred-thousand quarters spent in the arcade,” said Rob Howland, co-founder of Three Flip Studios.
Armed And Gelatinous: Couch Edition is a multiplayer shooter about gelatinous aliens and their fight for domination. It pits 1-4 friends against one another in a battle of the blobs.
The game has an extensive arsenal of 16 lethal weapons, ranging from laser rifles to melee blades. Absorbing each of these will turn a player's blob into a force of nature.
Players must maneuver through its zero gravity maps and take advantage of its cosmic layout. Bigger does not always mean better. They can customize their own loadouts to ensure more agency in its game modes. They can select from Death Match, Time Attack, Stock Match, and a new crowd favorite, Combo King.
Armed and Gelatinous also spices up the action with a selection of minigames. These extra game modes have players teaming up in games like Blob Soccer, Dodgeball and Football.
Armed And Gelatinous came out on Steam back in 2016 as an Early Access title. It will launch with a pricetag of $14.99.
