It's just stuff that should really be thrown in here considering the price point, little extras to make us feel like they cared when they were slapping this collection together and, when added to the fact you're being charged extra for a bunch of wallpapers, some more music and a couple of extra animations, well, it doesn't end up sitting very well.

Still, if you've yet to delve into Sonic the Hedgehog's original '90s outings, or if you're searching for an excuse to play them again, then you could do worse than Sonic Origins – it's clear that there's more than a modicum of love for the blue blur in this bundle, but a dearth of modern features that you'd normally take for granted in a collection like this, and content locked off in paid DLC, make this a tricky thing to heartily recommend.

It's this very point that leaves me a little baffled by this collection of games, as it really doesn't feel like you're paying for the four included titles, but rather the batch of additional extras (music tracks, animations, illustrations etc.) that can be unlocked within. It's all presented very well, plays incredibly smoothly, will entertain retro and platforming fans alike - but at the same time, if you've seen it once, there's not much extra to need to see here.
