Genesis Noir will take you on a unique adventure from the dawn of time. The art style, music and the nice blend of how the world influences the music at times do a lot to enhance the scenes. The unorthodox approach to puzzles and challenges work well for a while but over time it starts to feel a little pointless and irrelevant.
Genesis Noir is a very curious game, and mostly in a good way. The cosmic nature of its narrative is tied down interestingly in its humanized elements and the animation and music do a good job of giving every moment life and charm, even if it can sometimes get confusing.
Even with these foibles, I still really dug the majority of Genesis Noir. The fantastic presentation made it easier to forgive some of the repetition and bugs, and for all the grandiose nature of the story, it was still interesting to follow and piece together. It could probably be completed in one or two sittings, so if you’re up for something a little different, I’d definitely recommend checking out Genesis Noir.
