The Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest XI is the perfect salve. It's a game unashamed to be a video game, and it's one that embraces its roots in a charming, beautiful way. It's unashamedly jolly and light, but most importantly, it's comforting.

Fidèle à ses origines, Dragon Quest XI S est une réussite. On retrouve les thématiques qui sont chères à Yuji Hori ainsi que la direction artistique qui fait le charme de la série. Inattaquable sur son contenu, cette édition ultime ne révolutionne pas la formule mais s’appuie sur des mécaniques solides.

Uiteindelijk is Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition de beste versie van deze ijzersterke JRPG kunt spelen. Met een uitgebreid avontuur vol onverwachte wendingen en een cast vol memorabele helden speel je met gemak 60 tot 80 uur weg zonder dat je er erg in hebt. Vechten blijft telkens weer leuk, al zijn de kleine haperingen hier en daar toch wat teleurstellend.
