Finally, its gameplay is too shallow and uninspired to make you want to play it for more than a few minutes at a time. It feels best suited as a mobile game due to its sheer simplicity and limited vision, not something worth tackling on a next-gen platform, especially with its handful of performance issues.
While short, Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield was overall a nice experience for an endless runner, but the lack of story and replayability is where it hurts itself in the long run. The soundtrack and graphics gave off an exciting and futuristic feeling as you dropped from rooftops dodging bullets and robots throughout many bright and colorful levels. If players want a challenge I recommend playing on insane mode as your reflexes will be put to the test.
One thing is for sure, developer Neil Jones (A.K.A “Aerial_Knight”) is an exciting talent. I cannot wait to see what he works on next. Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield offers something different, which is no easy task these days. Despite it’s short, ahem, runtime it’s well-crafted enough to warrant multiple playthroughs.
