As a series, Trials has always excelled at finding the fun in tenacity, and Fusion is no different. Even if the FMX tricks and inconsequential narrative don't add all that much--and, at worst, muddle the mixture--the core gameplay remains inherently addictive and gratifying. If nothing else, Trials Fusion attempts to do something different with an established formula--and while you shouldn't give it points for trying, the perpetually fun gameplay makes it so that you won't have to.

Trials Fusion didn't need to offer anything too revolutionary - what it does is unique, and easily bears repeating. What RedLynx has got planned for Tournaments remains unproven, which makes this a frustrating game to review. This score is based on what we've played. In a year's time, that'll be less than one percent of what's available.

The whole game just feels like it’s incomplete. ...Everything in Trials Fusion is just an inch away from being awesome but, much like a botched motorcycle jump, ends up falling into a pit instead… a pit called mediocrity. Trials Fusion is fun enough, if only because it gives you a chance to return to the Trials gameplay you know and love, but it’s easily the weakest of all three Trials titles.
