Summary

Claire and Moira learned that they are just guinea pigs in the Overseer's macabre experiment. Every trap, every enemy they have faced -- it all leads to her doorstep. Why did the Overseer bring them to the island? More importantly, will she allow them to leave?

Barry and Natalia follow the trace of Claire and Moira, who disappeared six months ago.

Who was that figure waiting at the place where Natalia and Moira first met?

At the end of its road, I'm happy to recommend Resident Evil: Revelations 2. It's my favorite Resident Evil in years, and with a pricetag that's $20 cheaper than most retail releases, it offers up hundreds of hours of entertainment for those who are willing to dig into Raid Mode. Like many other classic entries before it, I'll be happily playing this one years down the line.

Overall, Episode 4 is a solid effort that just couldn't seem to find the traction it needed until it was too late. Split between a homage to the early Resident Evil games and the action of the later entries, it leaves players with a solid “oh...” rather than any sort of satisfaction upon completion—a lackluster ending to what could have been a stand-out entry in the field.

Hallmark endings with ill-judged references aside, Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a success, mixing and matching elements of Resi's old and new - while throwing in Raid mode - to good effect. It also uses episodic play wisely and efficiently, and goes some way to expunging the memory of Resident Evil 6, which is no mean feat.
