Redout is pure Anti Gravity racing, a tribute to the classic arcade racing monsters. It's designed to be an uncompromising, fast, tough and satisfying driving experience, soaked in that vertigo that stands at the core of the genre.

Redout is definitely the type of racing game that fans of F-Zero and Wipeout will flock to. The single player campaign brings a substantial amount of content with it. One thing I really loved was that even if you lose an event, you’ll still earn some experience and money – a huge help for beginners that are having a difficult time.
Redout doesn’t do much new for the genre aside from an interesting twist with the redout feature. Though it doesn’t have to re-invent the wheel but simply give use their take on the ultimate speed test. The online issue is a shame, and the only other issue I ran into was on some tracks and depending on how many racers are on screen, the framerate would falter before getting back to its smooth performance.
The core racing model is a fluid rush, and a thrill to control through an intriguing, if undercooked world. It’s to 34BigThings’ credit that they make known where their crosshairs are trained, but the bite is that much harsher when they miss their mark.
