Police Chase is a straight up driving simulation with not much catering towards the title. With a bit more depth and realism this could have been a fun title but unfortunately seems to lack on story, development, gameplay and leaves the player lost in a world that seems unrealistic and unfinished.
Police Chase may go down as one of the worst games of this generation with this added qualifier: “to make it past a console’s modern certification process.” It’s one of the priciest asset-flipped racing games I’ve ever seen. And despite not spending one red cent of my money, there’s still this pit in my stomach as though I’d been robbed and am searching for recompense. If games publishers & developers had badges, I’d tell these folks to turn theirs in.
If poorly conceived rush jobs are your bread and butter then Police Chase on Xbox One has you covered, but everyone else should steer well clear of this defective and shoddy trash fire. Police Chase sounds awesome and fun but it’s nothing but following arrow markers and timed missions – and dare I say there’s nothing exciting here, making the promotional material for the game deceptive. Police Chase shows a professional lack of effort because it’s extremely repetitive, boring and a chore to play.
