When it’s all said and done, MX Vs. ATV: All Out is an ok racing game. There’s a few issues here and there with the physics that could get to me, and the fact that if I crashed it pretty much meant a last place finish for me, but I can commend the game for improving from their previous outing with Supercross. I pretty much disliked that game, while this one has some tweaks to the controls and enough content to keep me trying it out.
In 2019 then, MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition is a largely passable experience. At its budget price you can no doubt have some fun with it, but there are better racing games out there that are more worthy of your time. Still, thanks to its performance being massively improved and its wealth of content, if you do pick up MX vs ATV All Out Anniversary Edition you won’t be half as disappointed with it as you would have been if you’d picked up the game a year ago.
With these things in mind, is the MX vs ATV: All Out Anniversary Edition worth picking up? Well, I’ll say it’s worth picking up as opposed to the base game, but not something worth getting in general. There are just better titles out there that have done more interesting things with the racing genre. Hell, there are better MX vs ATV titles that have done more interesting things with the racing genre. So yeah, unless you’re a huge, huge fan of the series, then I wouldn't go all out on this one, as the developers certainly didn’t.
