Those small issues aside, there’s a lot to like about Monster Energy Supercross 2. The actual racing feels great, and that’s what matters. A lot of the faults, such as the lack of track variety, exist due to the constraints of the license. This same license is what makes this game special in the first place. This bike could still use another layer of polish, but any fan of supercross will find a lot to like here.

Without any doubt, then, Monster Energy Supercross 2 is the best supercross game available right now. It might even be the best supercross game ever made. It’s just a shame that even though improvements have been made to its career mode, it’s still not particularly engaging or noteworthy. If you just want to race around real-world tracks and prove you’ve got the skills to come out on on top, however, it still does the trick.

Production values are inconsistent, especially with characters and cosmetics. Not a lot of variety in terms of modes. Career mode is barebones. Generic commentary. The odd bug. Monster Energy Supercross 2 recreates the spot admirably and has enough depth to the gameplay to satisfy even the more hardcore fans, but it's held back by bugs, inconsistent production values, and barebones modes that lack variety.
