I found myself emotionally attached to the characters and I wanted to see more. With the exception of some incremental changes, Madden NFL 18 looks and plays as it did last year. Yet, this is to be expected as EA Sports’ juggernaut of a football game is already a remarkably authentic NFL experience
Madden NFL 18 places its bets on a tried-and-true tale more than changes to gameplay or new layers in the career suite, and Longshot may not impress more worldly people. Late in the story, Colt makes a dry mention of Tim Tebow, and I couldn't help but think of how sports blogs today would shit all over Devin Wade if he existed in real life.
In MUT Squads, everyone pools their resources and then distributes roles. One player gets to be the defensive captain, one the offensive captain, and the other gets to be the coach. These players get the respectively pick the plays and interact with the game in the context of their chosen role. When the game is over, the roles are not locked in; you can swap freely. This is where Madden truly excels as a game that is more accessible. It succeeds in its goal because of its modularity.
