About this game

Developer: Grip Digital
Content Rating: Everyone

After falling endlessly through powerful magnetic storms you wake up in a desolate world. Your memory erased, you start exploring this place surrounded by void as cryptic messages appear around you. Suddenly, you spot a gigantic Tower emerging from the mists. You soon understand that in order to find the answers you need, you must climb all the way to the top. Equipped with a 'SwitchGun', a special weapon allowing you to activate or deactivate the Tower elements, you set off on a perilous journey full of traps, complex mechanisms, gaps to cross, and lethal foes, a journey that will eventually allow you to solve the mystery surrounding this strange and abstract world...

DeadCore doesn’t quite knock Portal off its podium but it offers a wild, well-paced, otherworldly ride that is well worth taking.

By all means, Deadcore is a competent game. First-person parkour feels more natural than third-person, but simple things like the lack of a mantle mechanic and the weapon being flatter than a pancake mean failing becomes an annoyance to replay sections rather than a blessing.

Auch auf der Konsole ist Deadcore ein Fest für Speedrunner - wenngleich Tearing und flimmernde Kanten für einen leichten Abzug in der B-Note sorgen.
