About this game

The Empire of Tamriel is on the edge. The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel. The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons.

What makes a good game? The graphics? The story? The combat? Character models? Skyrim is a testimony that non the above matters if your journey feels exceptional.

Skyrim wasn't just another RPG, it pretty much defined what modern RPG should be. Skyrim though lacking a good story mesmerized you with beautiful world to explore. The exploration, the mystery of what lies in that dungeon made me hooked into the world and it never let go. The loot in this game was done perfect, it always made you check for random chest for something. The combat for its time felt decent. The crafting, enchanting was made great. You always felt making your was better. Some the story lines and quests were sublime. Dawn guard and daedric quests comes to mind. There were a lot of Easter eggs which can be found when some serious searching is done.

People who didn't experience Skyrim back in the day wouldn't have the same feeling. There were a lot of games that copied Skyrim methods and some were forced to create better games to feel relevant. Sure there are better games now but it was the impact Skyrim created that they came to be.

Skyrim is a masterpiece, I had so much fun experiencing it. Try it for yourself.

There is so so much to do. You can easily overlook its minor faults and sink in hundreds of hours.

You play for the moment a diary clutched by a desiccated corpse sends you on a country- wide hunt for some ancient, forgotten loot. The illusion frequently falters – and sometimes completely breaks – but when it does you’ll want to conspire with the game to pretend you didn’t see. You play on, for the moments of clever design, fortunate coincidence or downright inspiration that turn you from suspending disbelief into utterly convinced.

But to be fair, none of those games are endowed with such enormity. Yet The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim doesn't rely on sheer scope to earn its stripes. It isn't just that there's a lot to do: it's that most of it is so good. Whether you're slashing a dragon's wings, raising the dead back to life, or experimenting at the alchemy table, Skyrim performs the most spectacular of enchantments: the one that causes huge chunks of time to vanish before you know it.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is every single reason to love a Western role-playing game, condensed into a single comprehensive experience with nothing lost in the conversion process. It is a game that will drown those who step into its absorbing, overwhelmingly detailed world, a game that will bury you and refuse to let go.
