If robots ever do take over, I hope the human race doesn't succumb to a force this stupid. Most encounters have you jumping between cover while the machines stand in the middle of an open field. While the cover system is kind of cool and the co-op option is nice, the rest of this title is a mess of long loads and low production values. If only we could send a death machine back in time to kill this game before it was born.

Terminator Salvation falls into many of the traps that classically plague movie-to-game translations. Though the game features a few core mechanics that makes it a good bit of fun, it is painfully apparent the developers were faced with a marketing timetable that didn’t allow them to produce the game they had envisioned.

There's not a lot of content here, and even the achievements and trophies are the bare minimum; you could earn them all just by playing the game through once on hard. This no-frills attitude runs throughout the whole game and reveals Terminator Salvation for what it is: a stripped cash-in attempt packed with dull, uninspired, and repetitive action.
