Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack was and still is an enjoyable platformer, regardless of the device on which you play it, but it's difficult to recommend this new release to anyone who already has access to the superior Vita rendition. The attractive aesthetic and the light puzzle elements that made the original release worthwhile have returned mostly unscathed, but the control limitations this time around hurt the experience, and that's a shame.

It’s also quite short, hitting its stride within minutes of reaching its climactic conclusion and leaving the player with a slightly empty feeling. Mutant Blobs Attack is a clever and stylish game, and while its full potential is never entirely displayed, you’d be hard-pressed to find a game that makes mass destruction this adorable.

With its creative level designs and simple controls, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is the type of game where you can sit back and enjoy eating up everything on Earth without investing too much time, cash, or energy to do it. It may not have changed much since its initial release, and a few more levels would have been nice, but for those who missed it the first time around, there's good reason to slurp up this jiggly gem now.
