Far Cry 4

The half-baked co-op is disappointing and the game sticks to the conventions of its direct predecessor almost to a fault, but the wondrous Himalayan setting packed with activities still makes Far Cry 4 a trip worth punching your passport. Come for the gunfights, and stay for the viscous honey badger hunts.

That is the simplest approach to this title. There’s nothing to make it not an enjoyable experience, but for those that lovedFar Cry 3, for all of its beautiful distractions, will find hours upon hours of glorious gameplay waiting for you. Plus, with a villain like Pagan Min, you just can’t go wrong with the latest installment of the Far Cry franchise.

It's a good thing that Ubisoft Montreal didn't really shake things up too much when it comes to Far Cry 4, and what we're left with is a fantastic follow-up with some great new additions, a much more satisfying storyline and a wonderful world to explore and cause chaos in. Bring a buddy!

Overall it's a great return for the series. ...So there's a couple of marks against; frustrating respawn points, the odd glitch, some needless difficulty spikes, and the local wildlife is ridiculously tricky to kill. But none of this is enough to drag the score down, because there's enough going on elsewhere for these to be minor inconveniences. Far Cry 4 is a huge and ambitious open-world shooter, and one of the better games of 2014.

Far Cry 4 se levanta sobre las fortalezas de su predecesor, ahora cambiando temática y construyendo una trama muy interesante. Funciona a todos los niveles, generando diversión a raudales, más con el añadido de un cooperativo simplemente sensacional. Brilla por su ambientación, y aunque en ciertas parcelas se le nota la limitación de ser un juego intergeneracional, es precioso, dando lugar a una experiencia de supervivencia en terreno hostil, aunque esta vez con aliados.

Far Cry 4 est donc un bon FPS solo et multi qui s'apprécie à fond si l'on est tenté par le solo, la coop, et le compétitif. Si chacun de ces styles de jeu n'excelle pas dans son genre, il faut bien avouer que le mélange des trois rend le soft efficace sans être révolutionnaire. ...mais la formule fonctionne plutôt bien au final et annonce des heures et des heures d'aventure dans un Far Cry plus beau, plus fouillé, et plus complet qu'avant.
