Summary
F1 2013 features all the cars, stars and circuits from the 2013 FIA Formula One World Championship plus -- for the first time -- classic content. F1 Classics is an expansive new game mode, introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker, in which you’ll race legendary drivers in famous cars on iconic circuits from the 1980s. This classic content can be played in a range of modes including split-screen and online multiplayer.

In a sport that symbolizes the cutting edge of car technology and the pinnacle of racing, the F1 series' slow progress is a contradiction. I enjoy the racing itself, but that only counts for so much. It's getting to the point that I'd rather see how other series like Forza incorporate F1 cars rather than play this franchise – and that's a bad sign.
The new classic content ultimately doesn’t soar quite high enough to justify purchase alone for F1 2012 owners but, combined with the well-honed existing content, F1 2013 is a very complete and satisfying package overall. Yearly devotees will be less blown away than new fans, or ones returning from a year or two away from the series, but F1 2013 is the most definitive distillation of the motorsport to date.
