Z-Run is a game that is greater than the sum of its parts. It's an infinite runner with zombies and lackluster controls. It also features some pretty bland graphics, and yet there is something so incredibly fun about the game that none of that matters. It's a smart and challenging game that makes it a joy to play (and great to listen to).
Z-run’s combination of zombies and endless runners was undoubtedly a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, the game design, fun factor and replay value were all poorly executed. It makes great use of the PlayStation Vita’s screen, but the graphics are average and the gameplay tedious. High on price and low on content, Z-run is all grab and no bite.
With bland gameplay and an alarmingly short running time, ZRun fails to live up to any promise it may have had. While a certain measure of fun can be gleaned from its simple mechanics, the monotonous visuals and overall lack of polish mean that you’ll probably wish that this lumbering undead monster had stayed six feet under.
