They say you can't improve on perfection, yet Steins;Gate 0 does just that. Taking what made the original story so great and adding new characters and a much darker theme makes Steins;Gate 0 the perfect continuation to a story that I though could not be improved upon - how wrong I was!

Steins;Gate 0 is undeniably one of the best, most engaging experiences of 2016, and amongst those that I’ve ever played. If you’re looking for a masterfully-written story with a brilliant cast of characters and high production values all round, then Steins;Gate 0 is the game for you. It’s a worthy sequel to one of the world’s greatest visual novels, and one that’s managed to surpass any and every expectation set for it. Steins;Gate 0 is one of my favourite games of the year and if you’re reading this, chances are it would be one of yours too.

With an intense and intriguing narrative, Steins;Gate 0 is a joy to play through though too many times the story slows down for sometime much more mundane. Without knowledge of the characters or larger plot of previous games, you may struggle to get the full experience.

A worthy follow up to Steins;Gate that even surpasses it in many aspects, while delivering a gripping story through multiple endings.

The voice actors' performances, the stunning art, and the superb soundtrack all combine for a final product that is absolutely top tier. Every aspect of this game is polished to perfection. Again, this is, regardless of medium, one of the finest time travel stories that has yet been told.

Much like its predecessor, Steins;Gate 0 proves to be among the finest examples of creating a thoroughly engaging visual novel.
