Summary
It's time to Nep-Nep like it's 1989. Neptune's been sucked into an alternate dimension of Gamindustri. In order for her to escape from this late '80s world, Neptune will have to collect enough shares to open up the path to her own dimension. Sounds easy enough - except a nefarious alliance called the Seven Sages wants to rid Gamindustri of all CPUs, including Neptune. Forging cross-dimensional friendships, will Neptune be able to defeat the Seven Sages, save this alternate dimension and get back to her own, or will she be stuck in the '80s forever?

there’s really only so much that a fan can take before finally getting tired of the same old thing. With that said, if you’re just seeking a way to get your RPG fun in on the go, and love yourself this console-parodying cast, then it’s yet another title to stick in your Vita. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 3 does nothing to reinvent the formula, and instead happily situates itself in a cutesy, but mostly average status quo position.
With a story that is packed with video-game references, humour and interesting characters, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation is a game that I would recommend to any fan of RPG's. Although it is by no means perfect, this game kept me hooked throughout and I think it is safe to say that I may frequent the world of Nep-Nep more often now that my eyes have been opened to this franchise!
The Neptunia Re;Birth series has done a lot to improve upon what were originally mediocre experiences. After having covered all the entries for RPG Site I have found a lot of appreciation for the series I didn’t have before. Now that it’s out of the way, I hope Compile Heart and Idea Factory explore more original directions for their satirical cast of wonderful characters. I wouldn’t mind another tactical RPG myself.
