I only play single-player PC games. I post funny cutscenes and shorts on YT daily. YT -https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYuF6TlBNw7bud2b81hK2xA
This DLC was amazing and should have been the actual game instead of what we got. Aiden is a serious bloke while Wrench is the charismatic funny guy. The Larson storyline was very intriguing and kept the suspense intact till the pay off. This is a prequel so if you are gonna play the game, play this one first and then the base game as either Wrench or Aiden, the game will become twice as more fun rather than a random NPC.
If you wanted to play Playstation Marvel's Spiderman 2018 on PC, this is the game that gets closest to it. Except for web swinging, It has all the mechanics like wallrunning, pole swinging and super jump as its made by the same developers, Insomniac Games. The open world is filled with challenges, platforms to jump on and collectibles. The 4th wallbreaking is hilarious at times and respawn animations are the best I have seen. Its sadly a hidden gem and not many people know about this game.
Its a very repetitive game that held so much potential to be a great game but it fell flat. The game lacked direction since it is one of the first game to get rid of the concept of NPC. You can play as anyone in the game except the 5 main bad guys so the voice acting took a hit. There were like hardly 6 voices pasted on different-looking characters. The Assassin's Creed DLC was done so poorly. Ubisoft trying to put magic and mystical powers in regular world never go hand in hand. The game could have been more grounded and better if it just went with WatchDogs Bloodline DLC as the main story which was actually well done and enjoyable throughout.
Tip - Just download the Prestige Operative mod to get all the best characters in the game and I would recommend playing the entire game as Aiden or Wrench since their voice acting and dialogue are the best in the game.
I had little to no expectation with this game after playing Marvel's Avengers since both are made by Square Enix but thanks to GamePass, I gave it a try and this game is actually good. You are the leader of a team of 5 members but you can only play as Star-Lord which is a letdown since he is just a guy with a gun and holds no other weapons. The game would have been better if you could switch characters to get all kinds of playstyle that the other characters already possess. The storyline is very linear and RPG elements of how you deal with other characters have very little impact on the endgame since the game has a single definitive ending. The game does hold some strong character and team-building moments which I loved. Overall its a great game and definitely deserved the GOTY for the Best Narrative at The Game Awards.
Before playing the game, I already made up my mind that it would be a 10 from me. After the release of the game on PS4 in 2018, I watched all the cutscenes on YouTube since it was a cash cow for PS and it was never gonna hit the PC anyway. I was overjoyed when they released their PC trailer. The game is fantastic but I did not thoroughly enjoy it mostly because I consumed tons of spoilers before the release of the game but nonetheless, its an absolute masterpiece with great storytelling, good gameplay mechanics and great character moments. The Valkyrie are painfully difficult to beat and Sigrun is a force to reckon with.
A 2hr side scroller indie game about an Alaskan tribe with clunky controls. The story revolves around a girl being chased by a monster with no clear motivation as she is trying to stop a blizzard. Its a co-op game which you can play alone as well. You constantly need to change between the girl and the Arctic fox to cross the levels. Overall its a pretty average game since there are so many better games than this out there.
Feeding Frenzy with RTX ON.
After playing this game, I instantly remembered playing Feeding Frenzy an Indie Arcade game as kid. This game serves a shark on the plate, adds a detailed beautiful open world, hundreds of collectible, turns RTX ON with a great commentary on the side and sprinkles violence and blood before serving it to you. The game got one thing absolutely right which is keeping the fun elements right by mutating the shark and adding skills to it and not going after realistic stuff. The camera work feels shody during boss battles and is hard to pickup in the beginning but after a while, it grows on you as you level up. By the end of the game, you truly feel like you are at the top of the food chain wrecking havoc wherever you go.
This is the GOTY 2021 for me and feels like a truly next-gen game we were promised. It is an absolutely amazing game with great gameplay, level designs and combat systems. None of the new games try anything new nowadays but this game goes far and beyond. Every single level is different and I mean it, nothing is recycled and every level feels so fresh. You can revisit the old levels for collectible adding replayability to the game. The characters are weird and charming in their own way but the colorful level designs and platforming is what keeps the game fresh throughout. Every time I felt, oh that was cool, the game throws something even more amazing at me in the next level. The character dialogue system is great which might not make you laugh but does put a smile on the face. The story is engaging and keeps you guessing. The endgame is very well done and the story teaches a lot about emotions, pain, loss, anxiety, depression, fear and the human psychology. Do play this game, you are going to love it.
An amazing game with good gameplay. Its a 17 year old game so most people won't like it and the characters and elements in the world are a bit weird but overall its a great game. You can skip this one if you don't like it, as the second game gives a basic idea of the game and the story but do play the sequel, its GOTY for me.
You know a game is bad when playing as Iron Man is boring and Thor's Mjolnir is a basic hammer.
It broke my heart to see how frustrating and bad this game is. This game had so much potential and could have started a parallel MCU like universe for Marvel games. The only good part of the game was the first mission where the game switches all the avengers one by one and was actually well done. After that it was like Thanos snapped all the fun out of this game. The game is filled with generic robots, boring missions, 2-3 super-villains and similar looking labs and maps over and over again. The gameplay mainly involves punching stationary robots, standing in an area until Jarvis hacks the door or clearing the area out of the enemies. The dodge in this game is infuriating and doesn't work. The worst thing is the microtransaction and loot. The gear changes stat which you do not feel during gameplay, it doesn't changes how you look making it pretty useless since there is a button to just pick the best mods in your inventory, so you don't even bother checking what it does. The skill tree is so passive that you don't even care. All the costumes need to be paid with real cash. I am glad this kind of MTX filled game failed badly. I hope the rights to Marvel games are handed over to Insomniac or some other studio who will do the characters justice and truly open up a gaming Marvel Universe like Rocksteady did to Batman.
A good game but could have been way better. The campaign is very short and like all the previous Halo games, the game ends with a cliffhanger in the end which I personally dislike since it takes ages for the sequel to come and I am not vested anymore in the lore. The gameplay is pretty fun and the grappling hook makes traversal in the world better. If you are going to play the game, complete the main storyline till you get the five upgrades and then go exploring the world. Upgrade the grappling hook, the shield and the enemy locator to the max as they are actually good upgrades worth doing while the others are pretty useless. The enemy grunts are funny and the propaganda tower commentary is hilarious. The story was not that great as most of it is scattered across the game and you don't actually find out what happened to Cortana or how she was defeated. Halo sadly has a history of ending the final boss of the game pretty badly like they did to the Flood, the Didact and other great villains in the series and sadly it does the same for this game as well.
This is one of the best games I have ever played. I was a little hesitant before playing the game as it mostly involves a bow and arrow for combat but I enjoyed the gameplay through and through. The story is enticing and keeps you wanting more and more by answering one question and putting up two more. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future where the world is filled with machines as the wildlife. The game unfolds the story and kept me guessing and answered almost all my questions by the end of the game. Everything in this game was a breath of fresh air. The only thing that bugged me was that I couldn't command the machines to follow me or attack a particular enemy otherwise everything was fantastic. I highly recommend to play this game once completely and then go for the DLC as the weapons in the DLC are quite OP for the base game.
My first thought on the game was, "Is this a parody of GTA?". Its a fun, messy and wacky but a beautiful remaster of the original. The characters are polished and look amazing. In this game, you are the leader of SAINTS ROWS, which is a gang. Though you are at the top of the food chain, you do not get any benefits of being the boss as you are just an errand boy like every other open-world game. I would have loved to control the gang and show them sometimes why I am the boss but the game doesn't give you that opportunity.
Hades is a rouge-like game with a lot of replayability as this is how the game progresses. You are Zagreus, the son of Hades who wants to escape the dominion of Underworld. The gods of Olympus wants you to be with them so they help you by giving blessings through your run. If you die, you start at the beginning and the world's map changes a little bit each time, which is meant to keep the people there from escaping. There are 5 worlds, with 4 bosses battles and 1 very good boy. The best part of the game are the characters and conversation. After beating the game for the first time after so many tries, I found out I have to do the same thing 10 more times to get the proper ending and 5-6 times more to get the final ending which is worth it but the game becomes progressively difficult. I was getting tired and just put up a mod and tried all the new blessings and beat the game which felt more fun. Do check out the comics and memes of the game on the net and reddit, they are hilarious.
Lost Words: Beyond the Page is an amazing side-scroller adventure that portrays a beautifully written story through the eyes of child's perspective. The gameplay is simple but the story is something that will stick around with you. The game displays the rollercoaster ride of joy, loss and regret a child goes through while growing up and how she overcome and accept things in life by using her imagination. A must play for people of all ages.
The story revolves around a girl living her past and jumping obstacles in a shadow realm. You control the object in the environment to help the girl reach the end to watch a cutscene. Concept-wise its good but gets quite irritating when you have to restart if you miss it by a mm. I am glad the dev gave a skip option for the level since some levels are buggy and infuriating.
A glorified pinball game mixed with the gameplay of Ori and Will of the Wisp. You are basically a bug who is a postman in this world. You deliver stuff and help the residence around the world. If you loved Pinball in Windows XP, you are gonna love this.
This is the third game in the Darksiders franchise. You play as Fury, she is a hot-headed character with very few likable character moments in the game. The story revolves around her catching the seven deadly sins which have escaped their prison. The overall game is good and continues the story of the aftermath of the destruction of Earth.
The entire game and storyline can be summed up with 2 lines,
"I am not your errand boy..." ~Death
*rides off to do errands for everyone else that asks*
This game is set after the events of the first game. You play as the second horseman, Death. He is the leader and the most powerful Horseman among the four. He is on a self-imposed quest to clear his brother's name for bringing Apocalypse in the first game. Death relates to the average player who plays Darksider, Attack First, Questions Later. Its quite a long adventure and mostly the badass protagonist who seemed OP in the game trailer is nerfed. There are countless dungeons and the map is divided into four regions which are quite huge as well. The worst part is the countless weapons you get on your way and it becomes useless very quickly.
Tip - Just keep the Possessed weapons and recycle all the weapons and feed them to the Possessed weapon. Don't sell anything for coins and don't buy stuff, you get better stuff along the way, and Vulgrims chests are quite useless so don't waste your time collecting the coins.
This is one of the best Action-Adventure games I have played in a long time. The game is a mashup of different kinds of popular games but is done very well while keeping its lore interesting. This story revolves around an End-War between Heaven, Hell, and Mankind which is basically the Apocalypse. The Horseman are tasked to maintain the balance and act as intermediatory between the three factions. The war is supposed to start when Mankind is equally as strong as the Demons of Hell & Angels of Heaven but the war is started prematurely and leaves Earth in ruins, with most humans dead. You are War, the fourth and youngest Horseman who is tasked to find who started the war and got you into this mess. The game is kind of Dungeon based Open World and is fun as well as frustrating at times while exploring. There are limited weapons that keep the game grounded with smooth combat and fluid animations. The lore is quite interesting and keeps you guessing throughout the journey. There is a lot of content and great character moments that you even get to meet in the successive games in the franchise.
Got it for free on Epic but I did not like it. The graphics and sarcasm used throughout the game are great but what kills the joy is its clunky controls. I love games that break the 4th wall and are funny at the same time and this game hits all other factors of a good game but if I don't have proper control over my character then it feels more like a chore which is not what I am seeking while playing a game.
This is an awful boring game of just climbing buildings. The world is flooded and you have a boat with which you travel around the world. There are 12 buildings on which you can climb and get the emergency supplies that you use to heal your wounded brother. Its just boring climbing from one building getting the item then seeing a small cutscene and repeating the whole process again. Super boring, won't recommend playing it.
A simple indie game ported from PS to PC. The player is a petal from a flower and flies around the map, when you touch other flowers, you add an extra petal in the trail. Like most indie games, you remove corruption form the world by touching it. Sometimes the controls can be nauseating and difficult. There are six levels and a credit level. The final level and the credits level is the best mission.
This is a beautiful Indie game. You are a fox running through different lands in search of the red mist coming from somewhere. The game has very simple puzzles and a gorgeous setting. The spirit fox gives you some special abilities which unlock as you progress through the game. Overall a good game to buy if you get it on a sale.
This is one of the games you can play for hours. The game is pretty simple. You are an archer who can only shoot while he is not running, the enemies which are monsters and forest critters take your health if they touch you. You have to evade as well as shoot the enemies. The game is quite addictive. As you progress, the game keeps getting difficult and boss fights are quite good.
This is a very short yet very beautiful indie game of about 2 hours. You are a robot who has awaken from it slumber and is returning back to its home. On your way back you remove corruption from the world. The puzzles are super simple and its a very relaxing game. Highly recommended to play it in one go to blow off the steam of a hard day's work.
Their ins't a lot of story to the game and the lore is quite boring. You are in a broken world and you have the power to turn into a bird. I loved the flying aspect of the game to go from one point to another and the music while flying is the cherry on top. Flying around and then turning back into the human mid-flight to fall and turn back again into the bird was lots of fun.
If you love small games in which you just roam around and find secrets of the world, then surely try it out.
The game gives off the Prince of Persia vibes with its wall run & combo mechanics. It is certainly a unique game, especially its art and storytelling with puppet like animation in cutscenes but the combat is quite dull. The story revolves around a girl on a quest to save her brother and two Gods narrating the story. Gameplay got repetitive and boring quite fast. The game has an open-ending which hints at part 2 to come later on.
Overall I would say, good art, good voice acting of Durga but not of Vishnu, mediocre gameplay.
A card-based game that is 10x times better than any other game out there. You have to choose between a set of cards that you want to use in the match. Then there are three towers of the opponent you need to destroy using your cards. Whoever destroys the towers first, wins the game. Its strategy and a little luck-based game developed by Supercell who always seem to hit the points to make a good game and addictive at the same time without losing its replayability factor.
Its a very boring and bland game. You are a fox looking for your three dead pups. The map is barren and there is nothing to do except collect some stars which do nothing. I passed one level without even finding the second cub and the game didn't even force me into looking for her. The controls are clunky and it feels more like a chore as there is no sense of accomplishment. The only good thing is the audio clips scattered around as the narrator has a good voice otherwise the story he tells about his father is as bland as the game. Got it for free on Epic, otherwise, I wouldn't even consider playing it.
Its a good puzzle game with cute animated creatures called Lemmings. The Lemings want to reach different locations and you help them in getting there by placing stuff like umbrella, stairs etc. The starting levels are pretty easy but it keeps getting difficult progressively. Overall its a good time killer and perfect game for kids.
Its a very different game than what I play but it was a good game. The game is very short, about 2 hrs long. It is basically a walking simulator where the character Edith tells and explores her old weird house. You find stuff around the house that lets you see what became of your huge family. Some stories are amazing with their own mini-games while others totally feel like the devs were high when they made that story. The game ends with a cliffhanger and you never get to know the story of your father which left a sour taste in my mouth as I was looking for more.
A good game to pass the time while you are on a bus or train. There are some impossible high scores on the internet which I was not even able to get close to even when I used mods for infinite life. The game just loops on and on and loses the fun element after some time. If only real-world officers were so committed to their job considering how many miles the fat officer ran to catch a kid for making graffiti on a train.
I don't usually leave a game unfinished but this is an exception. This game got on my nerves. If you are looking to relax after a long day, then don't play this game. The story is meh, never got me interested, the combat is dull and the characters are faceless vector images. While playing I was continuously getting stomped, kicked or beaten to death countless times. You respawn miles away from the place you died on a checkpoint and there are very few checkpoints. When I had enough, I thought I should lower the difficulty but there is no difficulty option. I threw the game in the trash and now I regret buying the game with the DLC that I will never play.
This is a fabulous short parkour-based game. Its like 2D Temple Run but 10x better with parkour. I love the character design and the environment. You are a part of a society that has been brainwashed and works like robots. You are the only one who has broken from the brainwashing and the govt is chasing you down through rooftops and streets. The 2D style free-running feels like the actual stuff. A must try.
It is a fabulous co-op game with a beautiful storyline and gameplay. The game is about 3 hrs short and I played it alone but if you have a sibling, I would definitely recommend playing it with them. The story revolves around 2 brothers on a journey to find the cure for their sick father. The game has some beautiful moments and the music shines throughout the game. The game ending with its beautiful music was enough to make me cry. The character arc by the end of the game is fascinating with the last few missions being very dark. Except for some lever mechanism which works very slow, the game is a gem and a must-play.
It was a good casual strategy game back in 2014 when I used to play it. The clan wars and chatting with strangers and making up plans to defeat enemy bases was fun. We used to share our accounts to update the buildings when one of us was busy. It used to take forever to update the buildings and once I was almost on the verge of getting scammed for gems from some scammy website. I am glad my father didn't give me his CC that day. Once I and my friend were talking about having 2 milion gold and needing more for construction and the stall owner was like, damn these kids are rich, he later came to know we were talking about a game and we had a good laugh that day. The game was getting way too addictive so I had to stop playing, my friend still handles my account I guess but none the less Supercell is one of the best Android game developers. I believe they can pull off something like Kena: Bridge of Spirits if they make one for PC.
GTA is synonymous with the word open world games. The game is set in Los Santos, a fictional representation of Los Angeles. The game is bloated with so many things to do that you won't even bother trying them all and good luck finding them as well. The game is full of mini-games. The campaign is great as you don't play with one character but three and all of them are total psychopaths. Micheal is a retired criminal trying to escape his past by committing more crimes. Franklin is the famous yee yee ass haircut guy and Trevor, the character whose personality matches the way an average player plays GTA. Though Trevor is the most feared and dangerous among the three. He has an extensive vocabulary which I found appealing about him. The heist missions are the true gem of this game. There are a lot of side-missions as well and the voice acting is superb.
This was and still is the GOAT. The huge open world was fascinating. The game was filled with missions and side activities. It was like SIMS on steroids with guns. NGL, I played the game mostly with cheats and it made the experience even better. The game wouldn't punish you unlike GTA 5 for using cheats. Buying property, stealing cars, destroying stuff was absolute fun. You can conquer territories for your gang and tag along 4 gang members to help you out. The campaign was long and great. Every mission was somewhat different than the last and it was an amazing experience.
This is a nostalgic game. This was the first open-world game I played. The city was huge and I used to just roam around the city doing taxi missions. After a long time, I realized there were missions in the game and it is not some simulator where I just use cheat codes and shoot all the NPC's and get chased by the cops and blow police vehicles using Panzer tank. When I finally got a PC at home, I played this game for the whole day and during lunch, when my father was having his lunch, I shot a ton of people and my father was watching it all. He was furious that I was playing such a violent game. From that day I still minimize a game when my father enters my room. The RC mission was the toughest mission and legend has it that it was made by Satan himself. I was the only person who could finish that mission after a few tries and my friends brought me to their home to finish that mission. Good times :D
This is a magnificent DLC. Elysium and Atlantis are one of the most beautiful open-world maps I have played in. Most of the missions are pretty repetitive but the beauty of the map is something different altogether. Elysium's campaign is boring but Underworld is pretty good as you get to meet an old friend. The Atlantis map and storyline is the best. This DLC provides the true ending for Kassandra and the cinematic video at the end is the icing on the cake which connects to Origin. This DLC made me hate Layla Hassan, the modern-day protagonist in the AC series. My god, she is a psychopath. She is a narcissistic, entitled, presumptuous, arrogant, and hotheaded woman, along with being a very self-serving person who doesn't really think things through. She promises Kassandra that she will be the intermediate between the Templar and Assassin's and then goes on to kill her friend and stab Otso Berg leaving him paralyzed, then she goes on chilling in the Animus.
This is the story of how the Assassin lineage came to be and the infamous Hidden Blade became synonymous with Assassin's. The story has some wholesome moments as well as some grim moments filled with rage. Overall its a good DLC. In one of the missions you face the horrors and atrocities committed by you in the past which seems could have been a great reflection of what the character is but in like 5 mins you forget everything and then again becoming the genocidal maniac.
This is a vast beautiful RPG-driven open-world game. Every action opens a new timeline and brings you to one of the nine endings this game has to offer. Every state is somewhat different from the other but the beauty of old Greece is a sight to behold. You play as either Kassandra or Alexios. I prefer Kassandra as she is considered canon and has better voice acting. You are a mercenary and though you are a Spartan by birth, you fight for any side you prefer. The battle for states is just a grinding mechanism where there is no change to the state whoever wins except for the color of the flag. You cannot make Sparta win all the states as the AI takes back the other states so that no side becomes dominant. There is a metric ton of loot and gears that become obsolete very quickly in the game. There are a lot of skills and only a few you will ever use. The nemesis system was copied from the Mordor games but its bogus. The spartan kick is the OP skill and must have, it opens a lot of opportunity in battle from recruiting enemies to throwing them down the cliff. The campaign is quite boring as there are no sequences for killing cult members and they die like any other NPC but the characters and music in the game are on point.
Tip - Don't kill the bounty hunters or the cult members, instead drain their health and use your fist or the spartan kick for the final blow. When they are unconscious, you can recruit them for your ship's crew which gives you an edge in the naval battles.
This DLC is a great take on an alternate history in the AC3 game. It takes place in an illusion where Washington has taken the mantle of the king and has become a tyrant. He holds the Apple of Eden and bends every other persons mind to do his bidding. The pyramid and the huge ships in the middle of New York is a great addition to the map. Connor gets some superpowers which help him call animals for help instead of Assassin which I liked. The NPC don't remember anything from the past and their take and interaction with Connor feels real. Its a good DLC, worth your time.
This is a standalone DLC for AC 3. You are a black female assassin called Aveline in New Orleans trying to liberate the slaves in the city. Most of the missions are fetch quests or trailing missions which are super boring. The costume-driven persona system is the true gem of the game as you get different playstyles according to the clothes you are wearing. The combat is pretty much the same and one mission where you meet Connor and aid him is the one I like the most. I was hoping Aveline and Connor would end up together, giving both the characters a better ending than what they got.
The game takes place in Thebes where thieves have taken possessions of the dead pharaohs and they come back from the dead to reclaim it by killing innocent bystanders. The Pharaohs are a formidable opponent and difficult to defeat. The mystical world of Nefratity is beautifully crafted with an attention to details and so is the Duat with its dark and grim environment. There are new animal types like the giant scorpio which have a huge health bar and roams around the world. The two boss fights are mainly focused on melee as you are continuously get attacked and have to dodge to save your health. Its a compelling DLC with a variety of difficult missions.
This is a DLC to the AC Origin and it provides the true ending for the game, if you play the campaign, you must play this as well. You visit the Sinai Peninsula and Bayek is finally an Assassin instead of a Medjay. Bayek has grown older and become more focused. This is the brotherhood origin story and shows how the three rules of the AC order came into existence. There are various missions and difficulty has been ramped up. One of the story missions brings a familiar face from the main campaign. The bounty hunters have taken place over the phylakes. Exploring the pyramid being built is a great addition as well. The games ending with the AC music hits me every time and I consider it the true ending for Bayek's story.
This is the first full-blown RPG in the AC franchise. The protagonist is Bayek who is the second best character after Ezio. The voice actor Abubakar Salim did a phenomenal job at portraying the Medjay. He is a well thought, beautifully written character filled with emotions. The campaign is one of the finest in the AC series. Killing each target brings Bayek closer to the truth. The combat got a complete overhaul and now you have to parry, counter and use shield properly to stand your ground. The game has added three bow types which helps in dealing with different kinds of enemies. The game is filled with side missions and have great character moments. The leveling system though hated by many is one that I truly love. Grinding for the sake of leveling up made me explore the beautiful culture and architecture of Egypt and helped break the stereotypes that I was taught during my high-school. After playing this game I realized how beautiful Egypt truly was and it wasn't just covered in the Sahara Desert. The mountains, cities, tombs, caverns, and temples are a beauty to behold. The modern world has finally got a protagonist who we can see, Layla. She is an arrogant, rash and narcissistic character. The lore is back and exploring tombs and the pyramids is rewarding on its own.
The protagonist are twin assassin's named Jacob & Evie Frye. You can change between them at any point of the game but most of the missions in the campaign are reserved for Jacob. The characters are well written and the interaction between the two is filled with sibling rivalry. There a ton of side missions and most of them are repetitive which becomes boring very soon. You get to meet the queen and do some missions for her which are fun. The combat is almost identical to Unity. The campaign is good as it shows how deep the corruption is that the Templars have a stronghold in every part of London from science, politics, finance to transportation. You kill the high profile templars but leave the position unfilled which just creates a vacuum of power. The new addition is the grapple gun which you can use to glide across the city or climb the towers quickly. Horses are removed and carriages have taken their place in the game. The build-up was pumping the game until the ending which is disappointing.
This game was supposed to set a new standard for the AC franchise. Cross-play, fluid parkour, cities filled with reactive crowd, beautifully created mansions, and buildings in which you can actually enter but all went in vain and thrown down the drain because of a hasty release. The game is a beautiful masterpiece if you play it now that it has received all the bug fixes. The story is dull and boring, the romance feels dull, and the side-quests are the same. The time-traveling power of Arno to look into his victim's past is out of the blue and makes no sense. The combat with the phantom blade is a good addition. I recommend playing this game if you like free-running in an open world more than the campaign.
This could have been a fabulous game. This game was overshadowed by Unity and Unity's buggy release killed this game before it could take a flight though it was very well made. You play as Shay, a former assassin who became a Templar after his actions created widespread destruction. The tables have turned and now you hunt assassins instead of templars, this provides a great perspective as you belong to the other side of the faction which has been on war for millennia. The assassins hide in haystacks and near wells and attempt to kill you, then the hunter becomes the hunted; this could have been handled so much better, but it was wasted. You have a ton of new weapons and the combat is the same as the previous games. I recommend using this cheat which makes Shay freak out and he starts making fun remarks while taking a leap of faith or while fighting. Haytham, Achilles, and Adewale are among the many well-known characters who return in this game. If you've played AC3 and AC4, seeing their history adds so much to the overall storyline. The ending connects to AC Unity which is a great addition to the plot. This game had so much potential but Ubisoft had so little patience.
This is a standalone DLC for AC Black Flag. The story revolves around Adewale and his quest to free his people from slavery. The blunderbuss is a great gun and blowing away enemies is great fun. The sword is replaced by a machete which makes the kill animation brutal. The game is very short and after you complete the campaign, it gets repetitive and there is not much to do but seeing Adewale become an assassin feels great.
This is one of the most beloved games in the franchise for the fans but I dislike this game. You are a pirate and doing piraty things like stabby-stab and raising the sea level by nanometers by blasting everything that you can lay your eyes sailing around the vast seas. The maps are not well made and all the exploration was mostly sea-based which was tedious to get from Point A to Point B. Edward's character progression was very bad, though having no training as an assassin he can do all the maneuvers. A small training video in his childhood would have plugged that gap. The worst part of the game is that you are suddenly pulled out of the Animus and have to work around in the Abstergo office which looks great visually but the tasks are super boring and tedious. There are like five outfits and none of them look great. The only nail which it hits right is the music and sea shanties. Taunting the soldiers was hilarious and dual-wield swords were not at all utilized properly. The ending connects to the beginning of AC 3 which I loved.
The OG was much better than the remastered version. You can check my review on this game here. The weapon wheel was clunky and switching weapons was hectic. Remastered felt like a brightened version of the OG game. Haytham missions were cut short which makes sense but I did not like it. I loved the alternate history's take on the American revolution in the DLC. The DLC of Tyranny of King Washington and the new combat added in the game was a great addition.
The game takes place during the American Revolution, where you encounter famous faces and freedom fighters. You begin the game as Haytham, who is one of the series' most memorable characters. I understood the essence of perspective from him because he was such a brilliant character. The game adds a slew of modern elements that are polished off later in the series and therefore don't shine as brightly in this installment. There are naval missions, homestead missions, hunting wildlife, crafting weapons and taking down forts, etc. The map is divided into cities such as New York and Boston, as well as forests. The game's protagonist is Connor, a Native American who had his life torn apart leading him to seek vengeance against those responsible. He is not as charismatic as Ezio, however, he exudes a commanding presence. The plot takes place over many years and depicts forests and cities shrouded with heavy snow, misty mornings, and brightly blooming summer, all of which affect how the environment and people react. Free running with parkour feels fresh. The game introduces climbing trees and jumping on the branches like a monkey is a beautiful addition to the game. The game introduces acrobatic combat with some gruesome kill animation. Once you've finished the campaign, watch this video that wasn't included in the game and this video to understand the turmoil the character went through, which helps make the character more memorable.
The story of Ezio and Altair comes to a close with this game. The game is set in Constantinople, the crossroads of the world. You play as Ezio and in some sequences as Altair which is a treat for the franchise lovers as it gives more depth to their story. The story revolves around Ezio's quest to find more about the Assassin's order by looking into Altair's past life which helps Ezio relate to his own search for the truth. There are a lot of interesting characters in this game, and the voice acting is excellent. The soundtrack is one of the best and captures the essence of the city. The game introduces the Hook blade which is a replacement for the iconic Hidden Blade. It's a great tool for zip lining around the city and scaling buildings more quickly. The combat remains largely unchanged, with the exception of some new counter kills thanks to the Hook Blade. You can also create a wide variety of bombs. Den defense, a form of tower defense introduced in the game which is a fun mini-game that allows you to defend your bases scattered throughout the region. Fans of the Ezio trilogy would undoubtedly cry at the game's conclusion. Ezio was such a beloved child of Ubisoft that they started the game with his birth and even went out of their way to create a 30 min animated clip portraying his death and laying one of the greatest character to rest.
This is the best game in the Ezio trilogy. The freestyle counter combat makes you feel like a true master assassin as you take down an army of enemies alone. You play as charming and everyone's favorite Ezio. The game takes place in Rome during the Renaissance. The map is huge with tons of content and missions and very little repetitiveness. The music is stunning and changes according to the location you are in the city. Playing this game makes you feel like you are actually living in Rome, the crowd is reactive and the game captures the essence and landmarks of the city beautifully. The game is filled to the brim with guild missions and assassination contracts. The flashback missions set in Florence show what happened to the love story of Ezio and Christina which is a tear-jerker. You can now recruit people and make them Assassins by sending them on missions or calling them for help whenever needed. Leonardo has 5 missions on destroying war machines that are like super-weapons for that era, these missions are tough and you need to plan your way into compounds without getting noticed. I have played this game thrice and yet I never have enough of this game. I actually passed my History exam on Renaissance by playing this game as you meet all the famous characters of that era.
Its an Open-World game set during the Renaissance. The path of the game is based on revenge against the Templar in both the past and the present. The combat is more brutal than the last game and adding different weapons was a great addition to the game. The disarm and counter animation adds more depth to the combat and make you feel like a true assassin. There are loads of weapons in your arsenal which lets you try different playstyles and approach each target differently. Shops are introduced in this game so going on treasure hunting and pick-pocketing makes more sense. The best part of the game is that it gave the AC franchise a signature music that is carried forward by other games with slight variations.
This is the game that gave birth to the Assassin's Creed franchise and killed the Prince of Persia franchise. The unique thing about the game was that it brought parkour to an open world but not as polished as the Prince of Persia games. The holy land was a boiling point of cultures and religion which was depicted very well in the game. The mix of action and exploration in the three cities was fascinating. The game was very repetitive and grinding was required to progress in missions. It was the era when Ubisoft was more focused on delivering a historically accurate simulator rather than chipping in MTX or DLC's, they even went on to remove the crossbow weapon from the game to be historically accurate.
This is an isometric game. I do not like these types of games but I liked this game a lot and am willing to try more of these. The dynamic between the two characters War & Strife is great. Strife is witty and carries great comebacks and jokes with him while War is serious and duty-bound making the unlikely Duo great together. The character building is very well done with some heartfelt moments as they both cope with the guilt of their past. The combat system is great with multiple types of combos and weapons. The game can be played in Co-op as well with split-screen. The game is not very well polished as you will get stuck in some walls and puzzles. The boss-battles are difficult and rewarding. The worst thing about the game is that it doesn't have a pointer on the map and you have to guess where you actually are on the map which makes collecting collectibles irritating. Some parts of the maps are closed and need to be replayed again after getting a certain weapon which is unlocked later on in the game which I dislike.
This game is a joke to its prequel. This is an Open World game set in San Fransisco showing how everything is controlled by our Corporate Overlords. The game hints at FAANG with made-up similar names. The game is trying to be young and hip that it totally forgets the seriousness of the dark and grim dystopia the game is really about. The side quests are boring and the world is too bright for a dystopian future. The protagonist Marcus has no back-story, the CtOS 2.0 saw him as a potential criminal in the future, and to prove he isn't, he actually became one LOL. Its hard to feel like you are the good guy when you just run over people, destroy shit, hack cars and bank accounts of people, dance near a blown-up manhole and take selfies after swatting some innocent bystander. The Dedsec video cutscenes are great and funny as they are made up of tons of old memes. The building up to the end is boring with only a few times in which you care what's actually going on. The boss-fight at the end of the game is as disappointing as the game itself.
The game is set in Chicago, the man-hole blowing capital of the world. The sprawling open world with a touch of rural area makes this an amazing open-world. The story is not the strong suit of the game as it is based on revenge for your family but the real deal is hacking in an open world environment. The whole city is connected to an Operating System called CtOS. You play as a hacker who can hack into any security camera, phone, and a lot of stuff. The funniest thing is hacking some poor blokes bank account while walking on the street and after a few seconds when they realize their bank is hacked, they cuss and lose their temper which is hilarious. The ATM side missions are the most hilarious. Every human has a different name and you can get their brief details which makes you realize how much information we give away for free to the internet. Your phone is your super-weapon and hacking around the world is more fun than the storyline. The side-missions start as fun but are way too repetitive which loses its glamour after a while.
Its a great game and its finally on PC. This game is the entire pack and contains the complete storyline of Master Chief (MC). The worst part of the game is that the MC refuses to speak even though the Captain asks him if he is dead or alive after a big ass explosion. MC stands like a brick when an NPC is talking to him and I am glad Sgt mocks him for it. In 3 games, he only speaks 2-3 times in the entirety of the game which makes you wonder why hire a voice actor and pay him millions only to speak 2-3 times in a 30 hr campaign. Finally, in Halo 4, MC speaks which helps connect the player with the NPC around him and understand the turmoil MC goes through. Halo 3 was not remastered for some reason which makes you want to skip it after playing the remastered versions of the game. Halo ODST is the same with a mute character surrounded with lively NPC showing so much emotions which is infuriating for me.
This is the final chapter in the Batman Arkham series which concludes the story of Batman. The combat is polished to perfection with multiple environmental takedowns and new weapons and gadgets in your arsenal. The open-world seems quite small when compared to other games but the game is filled with a lot of stuff. The minions talking shit on the radio is hilarious. The jumpscares are rare but are unpredictable and it becomes very scary at times. The riddler puzzles are a nightmare. Scarecrow is used to his full extent and serves as a great villain. The game finally lets you play around with the BatMobile. The first few missions are good and then it quickly becomes a chore making the Batmobile boring and overused. Its an absolutely amazing game and a must play.
