Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

It’s definitely an improvement since Mario Kart 7. It has way more items, characters, karts (wheels and gliders), and tracks. And, I think it goes without saying that the graphics are way better in Mario Kart 8 (Wii U and Switch). It’s also funny to get revenge on friends and family members (siblings) by beatings them ;).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Is it perfect? No. Is it worth it? Yes. Animal Crossing New Horizons is the opposite of boring. Until you complete your dream island domain, you’ve got months of island customization, villager hunting, online play, and fun ahead of you. The main goal of the game is to create an island that suits your personality and preferences. But, you still have to work to meet that goal. You need to spend time collecting items on your own and making the things you want from scratch. You also have villagers who come in many shapes and sizes living on your island. They are animals like cats, dogs, birds, and mice. There are many villagers to choose from and it’s fun to hunt for the villagers you want so they can live on your island. Now, there are some things about animal crossing that aren’t that great. The online play can get a bit boring. There isn’t much to do besides play tag and catch bugs and fish. And the conversations you can have with the villagers are a bit bland most of the time. They say things like “I love a good walk on a sunny day!” or “I like exploring and finding places to hide things!”. It gets kinda boring. In the original Animal Crossing, the conversations had way more flavor. But overall, I think the game is totally worth playing. I got a couple of my friends into it, and they liked it, so I’d say it’s pretty good especially because those friends weren’t really console gamers.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The mechanics, writing, music, and visuals make this game amazing. I especially like how it really depends on your reflexes and skill to be victorious. There are so many ways to battle. You could detonate bombs, shoot arrows, swing swords, and reflect with shields. And the music that plays in the background can either keep you focused, or warn you that an enemy is near. There are also various things you can do to keep you occupied. You can complete side quests, do shrines, find koroks, explore, recover memories, collect rare items, or fight enemies for loot. With all these variables combined, you have a great game, with a great community, and great fun.
