Resident Evil 5

I really enjoyed playing this game single-player but I enjoyed it even more playing co-op with someone online. I personally suggest playing online as you don’t share the screen. This 3rd person action-based game is amazing. Even though some say RE has taken a turn from their survival horror franchise in RE5 I don’t get it. I think mutating creatures and corpses lying everywhere as well as virus-infected people chasing you around is horrifying. I agree there’s a lot more action but don’t say there is no horror because it’s false. The graphics in the game are so nice me and my partner we liked to stop at points and just watch the graphics all around especially the Mayan-like ruins which were mind-blowing. The sound in this game is very good and even better with headphones, it can get your adrenaline going at times and pump things up. Controls are easy to learn and fit the game well. Be prepared as you open your inventory screen the action doesn’t stop and enemies keep coming at you non-stop so, as mentioned earlier, being well prepared is the key. I really enjoyed the game at the amateur and the normal difficulty I haven’t tried the veteran one but I’m sure it’s enjoyable. If you have infinite ammo I think it could be helpful on the veteran difficulty. I heard some say they didn’t like the game and some say they liked it a lot, I’m with the ones who liked it a lot and I suggest the game to anyone who liked RE4 you’ll definitely like RE5.

RESIDENT EVIL RESISTANCE

The game comes free with Resident Evil 3 remake. Being a big fan of Resident Evil games I would have probably bought it and would've regretted it. I enjoyed the game at first but the distraction it provides is very brief. It's a 4vs1 multiplayer experience, you need a PSplus subscription to play. The graphics are slightly down compared to RE3 remake. I found the controls to be difficult especially if you play as the mastermind. The sound of the game was good I liked what the masterminds were saying as they comment on their actions and the survivor's actions. What I found annoying when playing as a mastermind and what made me lose interest in the game was when some players got good at being the survivors I felt like I had no chance to win. I was getting nowhere whatever technique I would use. Being a survivor implies getting to know the maps by playing over and over again which I didn't have an interest in doing since the game got boring quickly. The game provides a map but it takes the whole screen, I think it would've been better with a minimap. I don't recommend the game at all and my rating is one of the lowest of all my reviews because I didn't like the game at all. If you buy RE3 remake, and it's actually worth it, you might want to give RE Resistance a try because it's free but my advice is don't get a PSplus subscription only to play the game.

Journey is a relaxing game. It’s an Action-Adventure/Walking simulator. The graphics are basic, the controls are fun, the puzzles are easy to solve and what stood out the most was the music. The game took me about 2 to 3 hours to beat. I went from start to finish mesmerized by the music which is actually from a real orchestra. The game has an online feature, it’s not possible to invite a friend to play with you but you randomly meet players from around the world in vast spaces. You can then decide to cooperate with them and progress through the world together. If you want a quick game to beat and a relaxing time I suggest you play Journey.

The Last of Us: Part II

This game is, in my opinion, the best PS4 game out there right now. This action-adventure, third-person perspective game developed by Naughty Dog is just amazing. It’s an extremely violent experience that might shock some. The graphics are excellent, the details are crisp and the character’s expressions are amazing. You go through this world where nature has taken back what man once claimed and the details, the shadows, the lighting are just sublime. I played the game with my headphones which brought the sounds to a whole new level, I suggest you try it. The fact that you play two stories, Ellie and Abby It’s entertaining. The two stories are so good that I couldn’t pick a favorite and they’re both in conflict so it gave me good emotions. As in the previous game, you get to improvise weapons and use stealth a lot. I loved the controls, they are so smooth it enhances play. The Game is excellent overall plus it won the Game of the Year award for 2020. I definitely recommend the game, it’s a must-play!

The Last Of Us Remastered

In 2019 my brother told me about the game The Last of Us saying it was a very good game. Later that same year he lent the game to me and Wow!! That game is amazing. During my first playthrough, I had a blast. The Remastered version for PS4 is the game at its best. You get full 1080p, higher-resolution character models, better shadows and lighting as well as several other gameplay changes. The ‘’left behind’’ DLC is included and is a must-play to understand the story better. It’s an action-adventure game and you play it from a third-person perspective. The improvised weapons you can use as well as the stealth make the game extremely fun to play. The graphics are excellent as you go through the 4 seasons. I really enjoyed the controls they are easy to learn and they make the game run smoothly. The story is very good as well, enjoyable and shocking. I absolutely enjoyed the voice acting in this game for all the characters, especially for Ellie. It’s a game I played non-stop for days and it’s included among the greatest video games of all time. If you haven’t discovered The Last of Us Remastered yet you should buy the game as it’s not expensive, it’s a must-have in your collection.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter

What I liked about Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is that the game gives you a lot to think about. It was one of the aspects of the game I really enjoyed as you can take your time to analyze the clues and make the conclusions needed to solve the different cases. Due to that aspect I, from the start, had the game on hard and I enjoyed it. If the puzzles are too difficult, for example, in the temple of Tecun Uman, there’s always an option to skip it that can help you if you’re stuck. I think the graphics were not that impressive and the image would stutter at times. The sound was good and was for me one of the best parts of the game. The voice acting was good depending on the character. I personally enjoyed Holmes as he was entertaining throughout the game. The load times are very long when you travel from one point to another, but there’s an option that you can select which gives you the possibility to review your clues and to make deductions while you wait. There’s some good action at times and it’s fun. The controls are fluid. It’s definitely the kind of game I suggest the gamer should try for a change. That was my goal when I tried this game and I liked the change. I’ll even keep an eye out for this kind of game so I can enjoy some more heavy thinking from time to time.

I really liked this game. It is an action-packed survival horror game. I found it very hard so I played it on the casual difficulty. I just didn’t have enough health and there were too many enemies at once so that’s why I played it on the easiest difficulty. It actually gave me a break and I could get past these very hard parts of the game. I even died many times on the casual difficulty. The music is very stressful when enemies come at you. I had some stress reactions to the number of enemies that come at you all the time and they just don’t give up even with their limbs severed they still crawl at you like crazy. You have a large selection of weapons you can build through the game, I suggest you experiment with that as much as you can. It will take more than one playthrough to get all the weapons, but there’s a game + available that gives you the option to carry what you had from your first playthrough into a new game. There’s a co-op part in the game. Playing co-op is, in my opinion, always fun to do. The controls in the game are good not too difficult to get used to. Third-person shooter view similar to the other entries in the series. It took me around 20 hours to beat the game and I didn’t do everything. I had it complete to around 85% as I didn’t need more to be satisfied. I recommend the game for the intense gamer who’s not afraid of stress.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is a survival horror game at its best. The atmosphere of the game got my heart beating fast at times. I noticed in the remake the lack of ambient music apart from save rooms which, in my opinion, is something I miss from the original game. The zombies are not easy to shot as they move constantly out of the way which is a good thing cause it raises the game’s difficulty. For the hardcore gamer, I suggest you never try the assisted mode because it makes the game so easy it’s not fun anymore. Unlike the original 1998 title which uses tank controls and fixed camera angle, the remake has a third-person shooter gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4 called ‘’over-the-shoulder’’. The graphics are amazing, the details are crisp and it immerses you in the horror even more. I really liked completing the trophy challenges as I enjoyed many playthroughs of the game. Trying to beat the game at hardcore in about 2 hours was my favorite part. I especially recommend this game to young adults in search of some adrenaline.

The game is very enjoyable even if you played the original 1993 version on the GameBoy or 1998 remastered on the GameBoy color. The story and the world map are the same as in the original game there are no changes. When I was playing, it brought back good memories as I recognized the map, the characters, and the enemies. You have a new side quest in the game which is dungeon making with Dampé. I really enjoyed making some of the dungeons, it’s easy and it’s a good addition to the game as it replaces the photograph collecting quest from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX (1998). The remake has nice all-new graphics that are mesmerizing. It has a new and improved soundtrack too which is amazing as most of the Zelda games. It is not a long one, I would say less than 10 hours, but you can stretch it by playing here and there for a few hours at a time. I recommend this game for kids and fans.

Double Dragon IV

Having played Double Dragon to Double Dragon IV on the PS4 I think this one is the best. Being played on a next-gen console you don’t get the lagging you would normally get on the NES. I enjoy playing this classic beat’em up game online with someone else. By doing so you get the best experience possible. You might want to try and play alone if you don’t have the means for online play, but beware you’ll need some skills because at points in the game there are so many enemies that it can be overwhelming. If you were able to beat Double Dragon III you’ll definitely be able to go through this game I assure you because Double Dragon III is so much more difficult. There are 12 missions full of bad guys to beat up with a ton of moves, new ones and old classics are mixed up in Double Dragon IV. The music is something I enjoyed a lot throughout the game. I’m shocked to see the rating of the game so low I think it’s worth a playthrough and I recommend this game, especially if you’re from the NES era. If not from the era give it a try you’ll enjoy it.

Batman Arkham origins If you like the Arkham series this game is for you. It's the third installment after Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I discovered it on PS now after I've played Batman: Arkham Asylum. I recommend you play at least one of the two previous games before that one. The combat is very similar to the previous entry in the series and you never get tired of it. It's an open world action-adventure. You're in the vast city of Gotham on Christmas eve and there's trouble. You play as a younger less-refined Batman which is prone to violent behavior. I loved the story but it's short. The online part of the game I couldn't play as it was not available anymore in 2020. The side missions were really fun and searching for Enigma's data packs was something worth doing because of all the different things you had to do to get to them. I recommend this game it's super entertaining!

Days Gone At first, I wasn't sure if I would like the game, It took me at least an hour to get into it. If you feel that way when you start the game just give it a try you'll see it's worth it. Once you encounter your first horde at a NERO outpost you get the feel of the game. A vast open world where you scavenge for scrap and other supplies and encounter hordes of Freaks. I was able to get lost on the map just searching for things here and there because it's so fun to do. It's one of the best PS4 games I've played so far, I even got the platinum trophy for the game. I just had to do everything because it was so entertaining. Deacon St-John is just an amazing character you might not get attached to him at first but he gets to you pretty fast and you love every word from him. I liked the whole story of Days Gone, if you're looking for a good game to play I recommend this one.

I bought that game for the Switch for around 10$ on Nintendo eshop and I deeply regret it.When you look at the trailer it's funny,it made me laught, but you cannot grasp the real feeling of the game as they make it look so easy to play.Very vulgar game. Obviously, in the game you're a drunk man and the controls are terrible and it's not easy to land a shot on your enemies or even to move around, but because your a drunk man it makes some sense. I think they abused of the rumble on the joycon as it is annoying because it goes off so often I played a lot of games lately and that one was really difficult to like and that's why I rated it so low. Even if some will probably like the game I don't recommend it .
