Star Wars Republic Commando is beyond its years, the first person squad command has never looked as good and has not been as fun then Republic Commando, I am a Star Wars fan, to begin with, and this is definitely up there with my favorite star wars game of course behind KOTOR. this game has a number of enemies to kill, going from Trandoshans with knives and a shotgun that proves to be very useful when you pick one up, there are General Grieovious' body guards that become a real problem when playing on a high difficulty, and the occasional super battle droids that are really different for the reason that sometimes when you think you killed it, the upper half of the droid is still alive and shooting. These enemies are definitely making the story exciting as you progress. The planets and settings in which you play, are Geonosis, a Republic Command ship that is invaded and crawling with trandoshans, and Kashyyk, home of the Wookies. All three of these environments are alive and feel like you are truly wandering these locations not knowing that every corner you take can lead to a group of enemies or a giant spider droid when on certain planets. The weapons you wield are Republic weapons, bow casters, and shotguns that are all just as deadly. The story stands out to star wars fans because at the time this game was released there had never been a Republic Commando story and most people did not know who they are, but after playing, the world saw how Star Wars Video game story can really stand out and be amazing.
