As I said in my Bloodborne main game review the best and coolest bosses are from the DLC so make sure to get the game with the DLC content. To me, 3 of the 5 bosses were very challenging and the others not so much. Prepare yourself to die a lot in this one but also know that eventually you will defeat them.
Oh boy, it’s true what they say, this game will test you and crush you if you don’t have the right attitude to play it, patience and perseverance are key. I’ll be honest, the best thing about the game besides its art are the bosses and the Lore which you have to investigate because the game doesn’t tell you shit, not even gameplay tutorials, you have to figure it out by your own or read/watch guidelines, I spend the first day playing without weapons because at first I didn’t want to read guides and couldn’t equip nothing, I was doing it all wrong. you’ll need guides or you’re gonna miss 2/5s of the game. There are many areas in the game that are beautiful and other parts that I hated and didn’t want to play but in order to fight all bosses you have to. Gameplay mechanics are very good, there are plenty of weapons to choose from, that’s what you have to figure out, I wasn’t enjoying that much until I got a big fu…g sword, that changed all. The best bosses are from the DLC (the expansion) but are the toughest and coolest. So my recommendation again is that you know what are you getting in to, have patience and persevere, eventually you’ll defeat the game otherwise you’ll not enjoy as much as you should. It’s a gorgeous game and now I know why it is so special. Pd: it was my first souls like game and it was a roller coaster, I’ll wait a little bit to play another one from fromsoftware. I’m looking at you Sekiro.
Fun! It’s fun!!! Loved the gameplay mechanics, the story and the graphics. If you love samurais and the Japanese culture in general you must play it, you will love it.
I want to begin with the good, the best thing about the game is killing the hordes, it’s challenging but entertaining, I didn’t kill all of them though. Next, the story, it isn’t unique or anything but it makes you want to know more, It has a secret ending after credits that is very interesting. And last, the mechanics, it’s so fun to discharge your ammo agains the enemies. Now the not so great, first, it starts slow and is a long ass game, is an open world that makes you do a ton of repetitive stuff like clear camps, rescue people, find and deliver things. Second, the graphics aren’t so great, after playing the last of us 2 you feel like you are playing a not so good version. Third, the crafting mechanics, again reminds me of a sub version of TLOU 2. If you like open worlds and want to experience killing hordes of freakers (zombies) play it, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it, there are so much stuff that you could play before this game.
I’d like to begin saying that you should know what kind of game is before playing it. I watched a few reviews and decided to give it a chance. It’s the most different type of game I played in my life. You are a delivery man traveling across America, that’s all I will say about the story which is the best part of the game, if you can finish it I think you would enjoy it, it’s again, different. Gameplay wise, this is where people were divided, many like it, others hate it, you deliver orders and craft resources and buildings to get to your destination, at the beginning it’s fun but it’s the whole game and it’s a long one, you’ ll be doing it again, and again, and again. There’s a few fights here and there agains humans and ghost-like creatures which is fun, actually, but it’s not the main game. Graphics are very good and the music, I loved it, specially the bb’s theme. The sense of accomplishment of the last delivery is incredible. Other thing I liked about the game is that you interact indirectly with other players, contributing to create buildings which are used in their game and our game but we never see each other, you must play it online though. My advice is to give it a try.
Beautiful game, beautiful graphics. If you are a spider man fan you will enjoy it for sure, it makes you feel you are him. The story is good but not complex, of course, is spiderman. Gameplay mechanics, very dynamic, you'll enjoy it also but after a while it feels repetitive. I liked very much the little puzzles. Very easy game to spend a few hours a day or several if you want to.
First of all, you need to know you’ll be playing a rpg so you have to be invested. The story is the best thing about this game, it has its flaws though. The graphics are very good but the facial animations are NOT. Game mechanics, exploiting robots was satisfying but besides that, not very good, you don’t feel the weight of your bow, it feels like air/nothing, also there are so many options that will mess up your gameplay, it will make it difficult. The stealth mechanics, incomplete, you can’t slay an enemy if you are not in cover, or if you aren't behind it. Climbing mechanics, hated it, it slows you down to get you to places. If you love rpgs, try it out, I wasn’t that invested in this and tried to rush it out, I couldn’t, it took me almost 60 hours but I completed it, I will play the sequel though, hehe.
I enjoyed the story, which is superb, and the after ending content but this game confirmed to me that I’m not a big fan of hack and slash games, there is nothing wrong with the mechanics but it is quite boring to fight smashing one bottom and dodging enemies. The thing I hated the most was the map, oh what a pain it was, there is only one way to get to the places and it’s so confusing, you get lost easily if you don’t know the way. I'll be playing the sequel though, I want to know what's comming.
My favorite ps4 game so far. Loved the story and the characters. So many feelings experienced in one game. Game mechanics are also superb, magnificent, very pleasant and enjoyable. I’ll be playing it again and that says a lot.
Not my thing. Played several days, don’t know how many hours, and it was boring. I will still give it a second chance in the future though.
