Trüberbrook« is a thrilling mystery adventure game set in rural Germany in the late 1960s. The player takes the role of young american physicist Tannhauser, who happens to end up in the eponymous village of Trüberbrook, an ageing but beautiful health resort somewhere in the densely forested countryside of West Germany. Tannhauser, while working on his PhD thesis, comes to Trüberbrook seeking to crack a tiresome mental block. But something in this town seems strangely spaced out – and instead of getting some rest, Tannhauser needs to do nothing less than saving the world.

I wanted to enjoy Trüberbrook but mediocre frustrating gameplay can only be helped so much by amazing art. I can only recommend it to people who absolutely love point and click games and don't mind being bogged down by major gameplay issues.
This game has a few sizable issues that hold it back from greatness. But for genre fans, Tr端berbrook succeeds thanks to its sci-fi plot, quirky voice-acted characters, and exceptional aesthetics.
Trüberbrook is a good but not excellent point and click experience. The eight-hour journey has a fantastic start but is dragged down by some flat reveals and conclusions. The story feels really forced towards its conclusion, which is honestly quite undeserved. Trüberbrook's cast of colorful characters and its presentation are truly a delight, which help to elevate the proceedings. The only problem I had on the gameplay side was, quite frankly, a rather big one.
