Sonic Origins

Sonic Origins is simply more of the same, which is both its greatest strength and weakness. On one hand, it’s a near-definitive way to experience four stone-cold classics that represent some of the highest peaks of Sonic's career. On the other, most of these games are already readily available and there aren’t many new features or additions to justify buying them yet again.

It's this very point that leaves me a little baffled by this collection of games, as it really doesn't feel like you're paying for the four included titles, but rather the batch of additional extras (music tracks, animations, illustrations etc.) that can be unlocked within. It's all presented very well, plays incredibly smoothly, will entertain retro and platforming fans alike - but at the same time, if you've seen it once, there's not much extra to need to see here.
