Even if you don’t want anything to do with League, we would highly recommend that you give Ruined King a shot; this is a spectacular JRPG that consistently demonstrates mastery of all the ingredients needed to make a great entry in the genre. The core campaign is just long enough to feel satisfying, there are dizzying amounts of character customization, and the combat system is one of the finest we’ve encountered in a turn-based RPG in a long time.
Riot Forge and Airship Syndicate has managed to create a solid RPG with a very complex combat system, with many variables to take into account, and with a brand and expectations as high as the ones that the community holds for League of Legends. The exploration of the scenarios is fun and the secondary objectives, although scarce, lengthen the game experience without making it lose value. I'm sure we'll see more titles like this one to explore other areas of the huge world of Runeterra. Let's get into battle!
A fun-filled adventure that not only features one of the best turn-based combat systems I've experienced for some time, but also a narrative that old and new fans alike can appreciate.
