It's one of the most idiosyncratic games on the eShop, and while its limited credentials and low production are very typical of its mobile roots, the potential of having more content, more complex puzzles or better visuals would in actuality take away its charm. It's a bit of a hard sell on a system with so many fantastic games, but if you like the quirkiness of something like Warioware and you're willing to embrace it for what it is, it will make you smile, as a well as make you think in more ways than one.
Mom Hid My Game is very short, though it is budget-priced accordingly. You can fly through the whole thing in an hour or two, but it’s a brilliantly daffy ride. Replay value is really only found in showing the game to others, in the same way sharing a good joke is. In replay, mom’s disapproving looks won’t be the draw; instead, your friend’s looks of bewilderment will be.
Once you've finished the main bulk of the game, it's not quite all the game has to offer you — a very random minigame opens up after you've completed level 50. A gymnastics-themed game that seemingly has nothing to do with the rest of Mom Hid My Game, it has you maintaining momentum while you swing around a pole. It's not going to increase the game's longevity much, but it's fittingly bizarre.
