About this game
Content Rating: Everyone
With 50 unique maps, hundreds of unlockable items, AI bots and online ranked multiplayer, this is the definitive version of INVERSUS! The playfield looks simple at first glance, but once the action begins, complexity unfolds at a rapid pace. Player movement is constrained to opposite colors of a black and white grid. My walls are your paths and your walls are my paths. Each shot flips tile colors in an attempt to block, trap and close in on the enemy. Up to four payers can compete in VERSUS mode and up to two players can cooperate in ARCADE mode. Play with friends on the couch, online, or both at once! Hone your skills against the computer and then head online to enter the global ranks!

If you have a soft spot for the arcade classics from back in the day, or even hold a competitive bond between friends, then INVERSUS Deluxe is a no-brainer. To be able to pull this title out of your bag wherever you want makes this now portable coin-op style experience a fantastic addition to the ever convenient Nintendo Switch. Whilst it may not provide hours of longevity, it’s definitely one to go back to time and time again. Especially in the company of good, like-minded friends.
INVERSUS Deluxe provides a nice multiplayer and a decent single player experience on the Switch, making great use of the Joycons. Though the simple nature of the game is easy to learn, there really is not a lot to it, so don't except a very deep or rich experience. But if you've got a hankering for a solid twin-stick shooter (that you can play with your friends) on-the-go, you can't go wrong.
Overall, INVERSUS Deluxe is a fun and addictive little game that packs a lot into its seemingly simple premise. This game feels right at home on the Switch, with its fast-paced gameplay well suited to the portability of Nintendo’s hybrid console. It’s made for multiplayer sessions, but there is fun to be had for single players too, with plenty of online options. If you’re looking for a different type of shooting experience, I recommend giving INVERSUS Deluxe a spin on your Switch.
