Biped is polished to a beautiful finish on the outside, but struggles somewhat with what it wants to be on the inside. Too much of its challenge is built around coming to terms with its controls rather than utilizing them to do interesting things. While the back half of the game is excellent, I worry some may give up before then.
It’s fun both on your own or with a friend locally, and despite the fact there’s not a tonne of meat on its bones, the game nevertheless displays a level of polish and charm that’s rarely found in smaller titles such as this. Definitely one to keep an eye on if you’re after a fun co-op experience, but be warned that it's more limited in scope than you might expect.
Despite the odd frame rate dip here and there, as well as little incentive for single-player, Biped is a very good experience for you and a friend, partner, or even your child, so long as they are familiar with the style. A game like Biped can be particularly uplifting right now, so a game that can bring a smile to your face is worth visiting, even if it only scratches the surface of its own potential.
