This game is an action RPG released in 1988. Players take on the role of Mars as they embark on a journey to defeat the Hellstones cult. The game is presented in a side-view perspective, and players will battle enemies by using jumps and force blasts emitted from Mars' arms. Various items are scattered across the map, and collecting these can power up Mars in many ways, such as enabling rapid fire for the force, increasing jump height, halving damage, or making the force pulse in a wave-like pattern.

While the game offers fun and fluid gameplay, one of its highlights is the soundtrack. The BGM was composed by Yuzo Koshiro, a name well-known to retro game fans, and was his first work after going freelance. It made extensive use of sampling, supported by the Sound Board II, filled with features sure to impress fans. Cranking up the volume during gameplay might just immerse you even deeper into the world.

This action-shooting game was released in 1985. The player takes control of the hyper dual-armor "THEXDER," which can transform into both robot and fighter forms, and throws himself into the battle to destroy the magnetic field generator of the asteroid Nediam. The game is played in side-view and consists of 16 stages (plus 16 back stages). In the battle against the enemy, you can use either the robot form, which has a tracking laser but inferior mobility, or the fighter form, which can only attack in the direction you are going but has superior mobility, depending on the situation.Barriers are also available, but if they are used too often, they will run out of energy, so they should be used only when the situation calls for it! You should use them only when you need them. The game is based on the life system with no save function, so you only have one shot each time you play! The difficulty level of the game is high, so if you are good at it, please give it a try.

This is a masterpiece that has been carefully crafted with a world view, excellent mecha design, and smooth animation during transformation, not to mention the addictive nature that makes you want to play it over and over again despite its difficulty.

This is an action RPG released in Japan by Nihon Falcom in 1989. The subtitle 'WANDERERS FROM Ys' marks this installment as an ambitious project that incorporates new elements. The perspective has shifted from a 'half-top view' to a 'side view,' and the method of attack has changed from physical collisions to swinging a sword, allowing for a variety of actions.

Furthermore, magic serves merely as a complement to combat and the outcome of battles relies on the player's skill. Adol's growth can be seen as a testament to one's own improvement.

Of course, the concept of the Ys series as "RPGs enjoyable for everyone" remains intact. Alongside its engaging storyline, the game features beautiful background visuals with "multi-scrolling" and lively music, making it a finely crafted masterpiece down to the smallest details.
